Not more deadly doesn’t meant not more virulent. We are up to 50,000 dead which is still a pretty bad flu season and this isn’t over.
What this information should be doing is making us question our response. Should we lean towards a Swedish response of isolating vulnerable populations and ops normal for the rest of society? Why weren’t we as successful as Japan, a country with some very high density cities.
Unfortunately this will be lost in a cacophony or political blame and rush to blow more money on stimulus bills.
