Not sure what’s going on with your hospital, but the level 2 trauma hospital I work at is nowhere like that. Our ER is half full. Our ICUs still have empty rooms. Endoscopy is running like normal. Our morgue has no more than 3 bodies at a time. And our sister hospitals are the 3 largest hospitals in the state, and they’re not overwhelmed either.
Funny, I wasn’t aware that Seattle isn’t a major metropolitan area. Considering we’ve been affected since literally the first cases in the US, it’s pretty safe to say that’s it’s up for debate.
