I’m gonna say it, imgur sucks and it’s reddit lite.

I cannot upload pics to .win. Never works for some reason; just keeps asking for a picture even though I have uploaded it.

Since you're in the mood for it, here's another image sharing protip:

Add a ".jpg" to the end of the url when you upload a pic, that will create a thumbnail you can expand from the main feed.

So your link would look like: https://imgur.com/a/FSpc1Pm.jpg

...& it doesn't matter if the file isn't actually a jpg, it'll work anyway

How do you even upload to.win? I've had things I wanted to upload, but there's no button to do it when I go to post. I don't miss reddit, but I do miss the narwal app that made it so easy to interact with.

What's so bad about it? I use it all the time to link images.

6
SkitShowPhrenia 6 points ago +6 / -0

The same thing most “companies” have happen to them. It blew up way way bigger than they expected. Now it’s full of ads to keep it running. I understand it’s a damned if you do damned if you don’t, but I’d rather use a smaller host. Especially one that can show the picture on .win without having to leave the site.

5
kekkk 5 points ago +5 / -0

Most people just don't know how to link the image properly.

If you right click the image and copy the link address, like so...

https://i.imgur.com/n4iXZQV.jpg

You get a direct link to the photo without any imgur site or ads.

i'm agnostic, athiest, whatever...i will always defend christianity and defend others' (peaceful) religious beliefs.

one thing i was pondering last night was how the media is attacking christians for wanting to go to church. meanwhile, mosques and islamic communities are openly defying these quarantine guidelines and the media won't say a fucking peep. we should publicize it more - right in time for the ramadan bomb-a-thon. surely, they would understand that this is for the greater good and is nothing to blow up about. kek

30
ColludingWithAmerica 30 points ago +32 / -2

The media portrays us as witch burning grand inquisition types. They take an event, strip the context, apply contemporary themes, and then juxtapose us with Hitler.

Have christians fucked up? Sure. Have we fucked up so much that we are the 6th century backwater Shithole of earth that they claim? If you have eyes, ears, and brain activity you’ll realize we aren’t the boogeyman they proclaim is to be, not even close.

But then you might have to start asking some questions about the people who portray us like that. And those thoughts are verboten. I’ll put it in slightly pc terms. This is an east vs west ideological fight that has raged for thousands of years.

ThatOrcTsadok 29 points ago +29 / -0

fun fact: after the revolutionary war, a main job of the Navy was defending our fledgling trade routes from Islamic privateers. so.... technically we have been at war with Islam since President Jefferson.

Well put. I wish everyone would do a fair historical analysis of Christianity and Islam. One side has brought egalitarian values to the world and initiated progress that’s benefited all mankind. Then there’s the misogynist, exclusionary adherents of Muhammad (a fuckin cartoon villain of a leader) who have caused untold death and suffering (can’t even compare to the crusades or witch trials) and the left bends over backwards to prove they favor the poor unappreciated mooslims.

Buddhists slaughtered by Islam: 10 MILLION
Christians slaughtered by Islam: 60 MILLION
Hindus slaughtered by Islam: 80 MILLION
Africans slaughtered by Islam: 120 MILLION

Total: 270 MILLION slaughtered by Islam ... and still counting

Some estimates are as high as 669 MILLION slaughtered by Islam.

Islam is deceit. Islam is hate. Islam is death.

There's a lot of virtue in Judaism and Christianity - even if you don't believe in their doctrines.

Sabaton has a way of cutting through the haze of ambivalence and nonchalance and going right to that emotional extreme. Perhaps it will be weaponised as a front-line battle hymnal in times yet to come.

Very important video! We have many types of enemies within. The vid keeps getting better. https://banned.video/watch?id=5ea09002fc74090055ff2748

Scenes from the 2 season reboot of the TV series V (mixed with real world video) show eerily similar parallels to the NEW medically induced tyranny that is ongoing with the COVID-19 Plannedemic. Great material for video MEME MAKERS to make shorter versions. Can add the red sky scene and the scary red Coronavirus USA map.

That song is about the Sack of Rome in 1527 and has nothing to do with Islam. It's always good to see a Sabaton reference though

Islam has many faults, but the fundamental problem is that it doesn't respect the rights of other religions to exist. That's unacceptable in the modern world. That's why Islam is fundamentally incompatible with the American value of freedom of religion. Nobody should be granted freedom of religion unless they are willing to grant it to others. No exceptions.

6
OwningTheLibs 6 points ago +6 / -0

Congrats pede you have it exactly right good for you. If we don't protect our culture we would be like the europeans who have all but lost their culture.

sickofSJWs 4 points ago +4 / -0

I think the majority of people out there need something to believe in and to give their life meaning. If their source of meaning is not religion, it seems to make people more susceptible to becoming a "true believer" in things like SJW ideology or communism. However, I have no issue with non-religious people who have avoided those traps.

Martin Luther rightly felt that the Church did not speak for the Lord. His 95 Thesis are mostly valid to the other half of the Ecumenical world today. And I mean no disrespect to you personally. Just presenting the counter point.

Peace-maker 2 points ago +2 / -0

He did and Protestants would argue the joke is a guy sitting in a temple of gold pretending to speak for God while contradicting his predecessor as if God changed His mind on social issues at exactly the same time the pointy hat changed heads. Where in the holy scriptures does Christ foretell a single infallible governing body for all believers and bestow the authority of our Sovereign upon it?

1
Peace-maker 1 point ago +1 / -0

It’s a valid point and I wouldn’t deny the debt all Christendom owes to the Catholic Church. But I don’t see any scriptural basis for all believers owing their loyalty to a single unified Roman institution for all time, regardless of theological disagreements and differing interpretations of the Word. Splintering was inevitable.

I’ve heard the exact counter about the Catholic Church... False prophets and Satanic influence. I get it. Weak humans will misuse the Word of God for earthly goals. But perhaps as the post originally intended to illustrate, there is a more vile force to direct your ire than the half of all Christians who don’t kneel to the papacy.

3
Formerlurker92 3 points ago +3 / -0

Same.

3
jgardner 3 points ago +3 / -0

Jesus Christ didn't ask us to go around showing everyone how pious we are. He kind of said the opposite.

I think a lot of atheists are better Christians than a lot of Christians. If Christians took the "I am the truth" part of Jesus' saying seriously, they wouldn't be shy of embracing truth in all of its forms.
