Islam has many faults, but the fundamental problem is that it doesn't respect the rights of other religions to exist. That's unacceptable in the modern world. That's why Islam is fundamentally incompatible with the American value of freedom of religion. Nobody should be granted freedom of religion unless they are willing to grant it to others. No exceptions.
