Out of curiosity, I did a little research on motor vehicle fatalities. Turns out that since 1950, in the United States, we have had no less than 33,000 deaths per year. It has been as high as 53,000. That's every year. For 70 years.
So in their crusade to make life safe wouldn't you think that using the same quarantine logic, no one should be driving so we can save those lives!
Think of that the next time you get in your vehicle, you inconsiderate asshole! You're literally killing people when you drive! /s
I'm going to drop this statistic the next time someone tells me that going anywhere could kill someone. At some point we've got to accept that shit happens and sometime people die. I'm not saying that we shouldn't take precautions where appropriate, I am just saying that has been part of the human condition since time immemorial. It is impossible to live your life and not be exposed to some kind of risk or another.
Try as you might, you cannot make life safe. Deal with it accordingly.
