Exactly. Everyone claims to believe in global warming but real estate prices prove them liars.

The Repo Man will come in the middle of the night.

You better believe it. Your property is not even safe. So y don't pay that Court ordered fine...reckon you'll sit it out in jail? Sorry...not if you own a house (or a car). I once put the caveat paperwork in against a lawyer (a landlord) who tried unsuccessfully to diddle some African friends of mine out of their house (apartment) bond. He had a Court order to pay. I couldn't believe that we had the power to sell up the lawyer's house from underneath to obtain the Court ordered fine amount (a piddly $800). THAT afternoon he coughed up the money. Must have got a call from someone handling the paperwork.

Yes to all you said and I want to add one important point. It will be the first "Global Tax" and put the infrastructure in place for future global taxes.

Oddly enough, it does seem to be one of the safest spots in California. Los Angeles' death rate is something like 10X higher than San Diego. My guess is that it's because the density is much lower, and it's a wealthy area where a lot of people can afford NOT to work. Compared to L.A. where people are packed tighter and don't have the luxury of taking three months off work to sit around and do nothing.

Too bad there isn’t a right wing environmental activist group to demand condemnation and eminent domain of the property.
