I can't resolve that kind of cognitive dissonance.

Within the alliance of leftists, the only think they seem to have in common is their hatred of the Christian God. Beyond that, I don't think they care, they define themselves by what they hate, not what the stand for. It doesn't matter if it's PRC or Theocratic Iran, as the saying goes "an enemy of my enemy is my friend".
