Can a fellow Michigan pede help me understand something here? Her emergency powers expire on the 30th of April so how can the shut down extension to May 15th have any authority after the 30th?
The state of emergency is supposed to be good for 28 days , that started March 10. The legislature would have to renew it or she will have to go to court

Cuomo just made it a “law” (with no consequences) to wear a mask in public. NY has had a no mask law on the books since like 1875. Dems don’t care.
It’s what I like to call the ‘give a mouse a cookie’ effect.
The government takes power, it doesn’t give it back. She’s not going to give up her emergency powers willingly, so you know what that means
