One thing that confuses me is this. I thought in most cases ventilators were harmful to corona patients. Is this for something other than COVID or does ventilators refer in code to like soldiers or weapons, as in ventilating someone with lead?

Seriously, I’m confused as to why ventilators are bad for COVID and we are still shipping them around. Are they only bad for people with other conditions?

Apparently ventilators are a last resort for whatever they are being used for and have always had a low survivability rate. Not directly because of their use, but because of how far gone the patients are when they are placed on them.

Ventilators seems to be the new currency. If it's a code for something then I haven't come across it, but it is clearly used for 'trade' right now, be it for goodwill or optics or whatever else.

Keep in mind that a lot of people still don't believe HCQ+A+Zinc or whatever combination works best these days. In the minds of the masses, ventilators probably still are high value things thanks to MSM.

The subtext: “and now he owes us and I will use that for leverage to promote pro-America interests and trade details.”

I bet Tedros is somehow infuriated at this, his entire job was to prepare the nation.

Against this. Fuck over countries that are not useful allies to us.

I think our surplus need to be sold or used to maintain/curry favor with more strategic partners. We (as a government, not individuals) need to focus on our own strategic benefit at every front, particularly when we're in for a crashing economic depression.

I understand your position and agree it's a humanitarian one, but culturally similar as they are they're in no position to be of use to us even in the distant future, fiscally or strategically.

People within our nation voluntarily paying with their own money for the delivery of these vents to a people would be fine. I'm not interested in being humanitarian as a government act with people's tax dollars.

Tedros was from Ethiopia. Might be in exchange for info or dirt on WHO.

Interesting that China has supported massive manufacturing in Ethiopia over the past decade. A likely reason Tedros is so in line with China, but also by the US offering help to China’s per project Ethiopia ahead of a Chinese response, it’s a big FU to China.

Hope it comes with strings attached, Ethiopia is practically owned by China...not sure why we'd help them unless they stopped being China's client state.
