Nurses have a narrow range of expertise which is mostly sufficient for the important job they do. Mostly they follow protocols for treatments. They are not researchers nor innovators and certainly not economists.

Nurses? Maybe they were liberal nurses with an agenda. The fake ass media is good at hyperbole and snarky questioning only a jealous bitter ex exhibits. That’s it. No. I'm not sure where all this misinformation about nursing is coming from. 90% of us just work jobs like everyone else.You apply for a job, you go interview, you get an offer or you don't, you work that job until you are tired of it, and then you can either apply for another or do something else. Some places have nurses unions, but most don't, and even when they do, most nurses want nothing to do with them.
Didn’t mean to spread disinformation, I can only base my comments on my own experience. My comment regarding ( negotiations) I may have projected a bit . I negotiate every year in my job. I definitely need to work on not ( assuming) things I don’t really know so to speak. My point was that this situation will be used for negotiations . That isn’t debatable to me. I shouldn’t speak for every nurse though and I apologize.
