Yep. In Islam, homosexuality has always been punishable by death.
Homosexuals are beheaded, hanged, and stoned in modern Saudi Arabia and Iran. Sudan, Mauritania, Somalia, Afghanistan, Yemen, Qatar, UAE, Brunei, and Islamic states within Nigeria have the death penalty on their books for homosexual behavior. Indonesia and Malaysia, Muslim-majority countries, whip people for being gay.
"For you practice your lusts on men in preference to women: you are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds... And we rained down on them a shower of brimstone." (Koran 7:80-84; also see 15:74, 27:58, and 29:40) Muslims through the centuries have interpreted the "rain of stones" as meaning that homosexuals should be stoned to death.

"If a man who is not married is seized committing sodomy, he will be stoned to death." Abu Dawud 4448 (Note the implicit approval of sodomizing one's wife.)
