It means the State has eased up on rationing of testing. A person who is symptomatic, and of the vulnerable age group, STILL will not be tested, but told to go to the emergency room at the local hospital. Calling ahead is a 2-hour runaround.
They do not want to test anybody who is not already in condition to be hospitalized.
Meanwhile, San Diego County has about one person per hospital with COVID-19.
There are 555 confirmed cases in my age group and 1 confirmed death. Given that antibody testing is showing that total number of cases is 10x the confirmed cases, the odds of me dying from this (if I catch it) are 1/5000. Actually lower given that I don't have any of the co-morbidities linked with deaths in younger people. So actually, the odds of me dying from this (if I catch it) are closer to 1/10,000.
How can the state justify locking me in my house again? Shouldn't old people and people with risk factors be given support if they decide to self isolate?
What does the jump in new diagnoses mean?

What in the absolute fuck are we doing?
