Great idea, I’d chip in. From what little I know, Abbott, who I’d previously thought handled this sorta well letting cities and counties decide what to do, has apparently threatened not only fines or jail time, but also revoking of business licenses of places who violate their guidelines’.
The PPP terms and conditions probably require businesses to conform to the "guidelines" put out by The Government and the actions of The Various States, so, hopefully, she won't also have to refund that.
Good point but that’s assuming she’s even gotten it. I know I felt slimy AF when my accountant completed the application and talked me into doing it. Of course, the next day it ran out of money but now there’s ‘round two’ of printed money. At the risk of compromising my own principles, govt caused this, tax rate is too damn high and this would only be a small fraction of a rebate, and the “Small Businesses” like Shake Shack, Ruth’s Chris and countless others that weren’t put on blast can do it with an entire accounting department to ensure theirs gets approved ASAP, while real small businesses who are trying to work gets the application in late get screwed, so fuck it, I’ll take a tax rebate, very few opportunities do us working folk have to stick it to the gov, many others live off handouts, still I’m torn about the whole thing.
