My company has effectively trapped all of its employees in the state. If we so much as cross another state line and come back, we have a mandatory 14 day quarantine before we are allowed back on site. Mandatory temperature testing for anyone arriving on site. All the halls are marked with arrows dictating whether you can travel clockwise or counter-clockwise (so you don't pass anyone). You can be reported to your supervisor if you're observed not "socially distancing" at least 6ft away from others. The management has turned our workplace into a fucking gulag. They are basically just asking for a lawsuit, the way they are treating everyone like children and hysterically overreacting.
For anyone to return to the site, you also have to pass a 14-question quiz on the site rules regarding COVID-19 and score 100. It's like they don't want to make money and make all their employees disgruntled. One of my office mates already quit.
My company is instituting the temperature taking as a pass to come in. It seems like it’s an overstep. Why deviate from self testing? PTO is an option for most companies.
