Yes. You do see the usefulness of allowing the states' governors to govern. It's what they are paid to do. They aren't supervisors. Now everybody can see exactly which of them has talent.

There are pressures also to see who your neighbors are, and band together to help them and that's useful too.

In short a lot of things that were invisible and taken for granted before are being looked at now. A lot is being learned.

This will pass soon.

If he opens up the media will attack him relentlessly and he will probably lose many potential Independent voters, because many of them seem to believe the media for some reason. Also it's the Governors job to open up, and people who are angry about the shutdown should direct that anger toward the Governors. I really think this country should open up though
