Only to distract from the Obama presidency.

The time the world quarantined because they were scared of the common cold.

If we stay on this trajectory, there won't be any dissenting historians to correct the record -- or at least any with a platform to get their message out.

Many historians will call this "the start of the 2021 Baby Boom".

Remember to get from their initial prediction to the current results you'd have to believe that lockdowns - late, partial, and only happening in four out of five states - reduced the death rate by almost 98%.

Not only that, they managed to reduce the death rate in non-lockdown states by the same amount as well.

Or maybe, just maybe, they lied.

Yes. They did. Just one more run at Trump to destroy him and America. They hate us. Leftists ( Americanized Commies ) have been using the same playbook since the Late 60’s in America. Endless Nagging , Hyperbole Drama and Public Shaming. I feel,so lucky that none of that affects Trump TRUMP2020

No possible way social distancing and closing down “nonessential” businesses reduced numbers that much. Virus was already here and way less lethal than thought, change my mind.

MaxineWaters4Prez 29 points ago +29 / -0

Actually, the 2.2 million figure was WITH social distancing.

And let's also note how the grocery business has not turned into a graveyard or experience ANY operational problems whatsoever!

All those "essential" grocery employees who've had prolonged, heightened, and bottlenecked exposure to the general public would, of course, take the deadly brunt of this mass killer. And yet, here they are, still kickin. They should all be wiped out right now.

My wife is a manager for one of the largest grocery retailers in the US.

She's worked everyday through this in the busiest store in this area. Still waiting to see if she comes home with it... /Rolls eyes

She had a flu/upper respiratory infection in late January and never gave it to me and the kids.

My county still currently under 400 reported cases with a population of nearly 500k...

And let's be honest. If there were some zombie plague that was going to wipe out people en masse, hospitals would be fucking tombs by now.

The first place some doom contagion carrier patient zero would go is the hospital. Taken off guard, the nurse and doctor would be infected and spread it around the ER. Then the ekg tech, phlebotomist, and radiology tech would all do their usual workup routine, also unbeknownst to them, and take it back to their departments.

Within the first hour, the entire hospital across many departments would be contaminated and as they go about the hospital doing their roles, it would be cataclysmic.

Yes.

The main problem is they treated us like children. If you have a child and something outside the house was dangerous you would lock them up.

Sweden (whatever you think about the country) treated its population like Adults. A small number of measures. No lockdown.

Tells you everything you need to know. What you see in NY is they fucked up. Maybe they mishandled the first few cases or maybe it's the Democrats trying to damage America as much as possible.

But as the days go on its looking likely they are just trying to fuck America.

Sweden only stayed open because they couldn’t lock up their “diversity”, change my mind.

In my area, since they started testing for coronavirus we have .3% of the population sick enough to get tested. I'm near a major US city. We shut the city down because .3% were sick enough to get tested. Only .016% have died so far. All of the surrounding areas have .1% or less infection rates (of people sick enough to be tested), so quite literally 99.9% of the people out here are fine.

And yet all my facebook friends are feverishly posting about how "if you leave the house without a mask you will die, and Trump is telling everyone to eat Tide pods".

At this point, it's hard to say that humanity doesn't need a great big 'ol reset.

It's definitely making me lose hope for the future of this country. People are just too goddamn dumb and easily misled.

I went to Walmart without a mask this am. Got a lot of stares. It was odd

14
Dialectic 14 points ago +14 / -0

Haven't gotten a shitty stare yet but I'm pretty on edge (irritated as fuck) in public so either people in my area are nicer or they see the "I'll bite your fucking head off" scowl under my beard.

One of my buddies was confronted in a Wal-Mart by a fatass in a scooter about not wearing a mask. My buddy said "sorry I didn't fall for the hysteria "

YourDaddyKnowsBest [S] 7 points ago +7 / -0

That’s. Weird cuz I was waiting for someone to complain about me and come talk to me.

11
DarkMemeDuck 11 points ago +12 / -1

I went to Sam's yesterday and about 70% of the people there were wearing masks. They are basically the face equivalent of a hashtag. They don't actually do anything since the virus is small enough to pass right through it, but they make sure people know you care.

Dirkstruan313 11 points ago +11 / -0

Whoops. That 2.2 million was with social distancing taken into consideration you say?

10x more infectious (able to spread exponentially), but not equally as deadly. Treating one as if it's the other has gotten us into this mess.
