Hospitals have had only the ED and non-elective surgery open. They haven't been taking in enough revenue to pay their employees and provide services as a result.
Hospitals are now being forced to look at labor cutbacks and firing needed employees to make up for the massive losses.

I noticed that. They delayed my colonoscopy 6 weeks ago, and all those 6 weeks the hospitals staid absolutely empty, doing nothing, except for nurse Karen tic-tok videos.
And elective surgery isn't just boob jobs! Its any surgery that doesn't correct for a life threatening condition like orthopedic surgery
But tonight I am going in for a sleep study. . . How is this possible? My wife cannot see her doctor to check on abdominal pains yet I am scheduled for a sleep study.

I had a "sleep study". It was NOT a sleep study, it was a pulmonary study. Only answered the Q "do I snore and how often". That was fucking it.
