I know many of us here have transitioned from BernieBro, NeoCon, or gasp Hillary Voter to MAGA patriot, some in a short amount of time. So I do believe a man (or woman REEEE!!!!) can change. I am living proof. But I'm not running for president. It's a dangerous proposition. Is he POTUS material yet for 2024?
To me, he still has MUCH to prove and currently would still not support him until I see more. If he proves he will stand up for the promise of America and go against a short-term monetary gain, and play the long game versus our foes (China) and allies (NATO) it will go a long way to earn our true trust, something Trump has done, which may be impossible for a politician to ever achieve...
Lyin Ted has truly become Lion Ted to me because he is one of the only people to have seemingly learned from what went down in 2016. I give him credit for seeing how the people wanted to change and he seems to have fully got behind POTUS and his policies. From Texas so i have seen first hand. I agree! As much as i give credit to him I definitely don’t have a ton of trust in Ted. I think he’s done a very good job (especially in comparison to others) and am pleased with his support but DJT is the only one i trust at any level
I think at some point every politician has at least one pro-China soundbite because we are a capitalist country and they do represent one of the largest potential markets.
We did want China as a customer. We just failed to recognize China is one of those asshole customers that uses triple coupons on double bonus day and the store ends up owning them money at the end of the transaction.

If you really want to hear Ted Cruz speak his beliefs so you can judge them directly, I highly recommend you listen to his podcast, Verdict with Ted Cruz.
He has been unapologetically blasting China with both barrels. He even believes the virus came from the Wuhan lab and isn't afraid of being called a conspiracy nut for saying it.
I was against Cruz in the 2016 because he seemed like such a milquetoast Canadian spy sent here to lull us all to sleep. But then he grew a beard, embraced the Zodiac Killer meme, and has been one of Trump's closest advisors on a lot of important things, particularly the energy sector. As far as I'm concerned, it's a worthy redemption story and I hope he ends up in someone's Cabinet someday if not another shot at President after Pence's two terms.

That’s the problem with most of this stuff. Most problems now are government related, and you’re asking the government itself to vote on whether it should have less power, influence, and kickbacks. Half the people in government seem to be married to people in the media. It’s a bad situation with no easy answer.
