For color to those that live outside of NYC, the mayor has a park right next to the mayor's mansion on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. He chooses to drive out to Brooklyn instead while telling others that they should narc on each other if they see someone breaking social distancing guidelines.

Typcial Progressive scum: do as I say, not as I do.

Every liberal in government is a closet aristocrat.

They appeal to simple concepts, which people love. They wrap things in very misleading packages, like "love" and "acceptance" and what they package never really are those. It's all disguised, because when you peel away the outer layers, you see a lot of complexities which they don't address.

Most people hate complexities, especially if it's used against something that initially sounds so simple.

For example, pronouns. It's easy to be a leftist and say "It hurts someones feelings just say the pronoun, let's be friendly!"

But it gets complicated because they want to enforce that by law, through force of a gun. Even if it's a monetary fine, it boils down to a gun, because if you don't pay you go to jail. If you refuse to go to jail, they will kill you if you resist. So its beyond asking people to be friendly, it's trying to compel speech, which infringes on freedom of speech.

Funny enough, I'd argue most conservatives are probably okay with using a preferred pronoun if it was someone they knew and were asked respectfully. But that's not how the left operate, they don't want people to be individually responsible for their own relationships, and their interactions. They want the government to control those interactions and they want to force everyone else to bow to them and their demands, of a preferred pronoun in this example.

But for many when they hear "Be nice!" Vs "Be nice...but" they turn off their brains, and pick the simple sounding one, but it's the most deceptive.

This is what PO's me the most. I can rationalize with (or at least understand) someone who advocates bad/destructive policies (like open borders) that will effect them.

I cannot stand these sleaze-bags who are pushing policies they think everyone else should have to do, but they think will never/should never effect them.
