I've been playing Hell Let Loose, a ww2 shooter that is great.

It's just a bunch of white men shooting each other. No female soldiers. No bullshit. If your side wins a match it plays a culturally relevant song, The U.S. gets "Over there!" and the Germans get "Erika". It's great.
