If I had a tech company, I'd never do any business with China. I'd make every company I sold to sign a document that says they'll be sued for all damages if it ends up in China.
Apparently none of you ITT read the article. IP was stolen by Tesla employee before he quit and sold it to the competition in China. The company has done it before with an ex-Apple employee.
The articles I’ve read don’t indicate if Guangzhi Cao, the suspect, worked with Tesla in China or not, but given he got his B.S. in electrical engineering in China and the fact that his LinkedIn profile is not available to public, I would say he was based in a China the whole time (after getting his masters in Purdue)
My point is that if you operate in China, expect GREATER cases of corporate espionage and IP theft than solely in America. It can still happen in US, but usually hiring could note the risks.
TOLD YOU NOT TO BUILD THERE, YOU FUCKING IDIOT
Oh no. That sucks. -Fredo
