The professional subs for IT are very helpful. I go there for those still. Powershell, sysadmin, they have the feel of old Reddit. Also like the smaller communities for local sports teams but they are dead as of late because of the whole no sports things.
And in some of those IT communities, the mods specifically squash political talk of all kinds as their way of maintaining control over their own subreddits.
Why use it it all?
