Great article posted here earlier today comparing the job DeSantis has done vs. Cuomo. Cuomo being exalted despite magnitudes greater deaths and illness despite metrics that say Florida could’ve been in same boat. I think we are seeing DeSantis’s good leadership aimed at protecting people first and Cuomo who’s leading through the good ‘optics’ (nifty PowerPoint presentations and on national TV every day) and what can be gained politically.
Haha I actually live in that county. That was spear headed by one person on the committee and even after they voted to dial it back some that dude was still pushing for it.
The mayor tried making face masks mandatory but the emergency committee denied that shit real quick.
I’d never really paid attention to him before. From what the fake news said, they made him sound like some kind of retard. But I’m reading his resume now... this dude is legit.... captain of baseball team at Yale, Harvard Law, deployed to Iraq..
The athletes tend to be more normal, as they’re recruited for sports and not things like legacy connections. There are republicans at these schools too. Going there just means you’re a high achiever.
I don’t know much about him. But he strikes me as a really nice guy who moved to Florida to escape the northeast hell hole of high taxes and shit and now loves it in Florida.
My job had me call almost every pharmacy in CA and FL. It was down right amazing how friendly the FL folks were. The people in CA were shit cuz their state is shit I think.
Why is that? People from CA and NY are total jerks now but Floridians are such friendly and relaxed people. Usually whenever someone's friendly, they're a huge flake. But Floridians are not flaky either
