I've been out of work been going to the shop once a week. The family all live far away. All shops are closed. Been sitting around more than I usually do.

The thing is I got a broken leg maybe 9 years ago. Pretty bad at the time. Heald up ok no problems.

Yesterday I got a small pain in my leg because I've been sitting around doing nothing. Today I had no choice but to go for a walk and will be going for a walk and I don't care who says what.

Bottom line? There are loads of reasons people have to get up and do exercise and you can not keep people locked up all day for months on end. As other health issues creep in.

Regardless of what happens about the virus. There is going to be a massive drop in personal health and a lot of people who would never have problems get some serious health issues.

It's totally disgusting that the health system is so focused on one thing while others have to suffer as a result.

Yup. Short sighted government. My 80 year old neighbor - I can SEE her detriorating. She was in great health 2 months ago. Now... fading. Hasn't left her property in 1.5 months. She's scared completely by the media. The media is disgusting.

Yep. Thankfully here in Florida Governor DeSantis recognized outdoor exercise as essential to health and we are encouraged to go walking, cycling, etc., but to maintain social distancing while out exercising.

For the elderly, exercise is not just about looking good, it's VITAL to staying healthy. Low-income elderly can't afford expensive inside exercise equipment, but all they need to take a walk outsuide is a pair of sneakers.

Without regular exercise, the elderly are at risk of losing their strength, worsening multiple health conditions (including heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension), and even losing their mobility. Loss of mobility in the elderly usually precipitates a rapid decline in health.

So, those extended "stay inside" orders can literally kill the elderly.
