Ever since November, my fiance's grandmother had been spiraling downward in her health. She had a variety of issues, with one of the major ones being respiratory. We knew she was going to die, it was just a matter of when. Well, a couple weeks ago, she went to the hospital with symptoms including, but not limited to, fever, coughing, and aching. Symptoms she has had in the past. Since she has been battling her health for so long, she refused treatment. She was ready to go. She died shortly after. When she was admitted to the hospital, she was presumed positive for COVID-19 because of her symptoms. She was never tested. However, her cause of death was listed to be due to the virus. Not because she was a woman with continuously declining health who grew tired of trying to fight the inevitable and prolong her suffering.
If it happened to her, there is likely others it has happened to. Inflated numbers for sure.
My condolences fr yr loss. But yes the healthcare industry is fucked. People are only worth what they can wring out of them. Stefan Molyneux is right, we all live in a giant human farm.
