Yes, and Donald Trump has apparently ruined political discussions because of his non-sugar coated rhetoric. These types try to make everything sound so benign and a lot of people believe it, but to me, this is much much sicker and worse than any frank rebuttal Trump’s give, it just doesn’t sound like it in short sound bites. “Wear a mask and stay inside” sounds like they care. “You’re fake news, no wonder no one cares about what you say...” sounds more crass but really it’s the truth and the coddling of government possibly with sinister motives is the really sickening talking point. Had this level of discourse occurred in the 20th century, it wouldn’t have seen the light of day, but like the God forsaken weeds in my backyard, they’ve overtaken this country, and we have to uproot them in order to get back to a sane and rational place!
