There's a big divide between Christians who think Jesus will secretly snatch away some or all of us before things get ugly, which was never taught before the 1800's; and those who have the historical understanding that God's people endure through suffering. Including dying in a variety of different ways, some of them horrible.

When Bill mark of the beast Gates first disclosed the invention of inserting a microchip as part of his mandatory vaccine, I immediately equated it to Biblical 666, the mark of the beast. I didn't even care of it was true or not, I was immediately determined to have nothing to do with it. Then the VR ad came out and suddenly even atheists were decrying the idea. It's amazing!

One of the more important Prophesies concerning all this is that those of us who know Him personally are supposed to prevent evil from taking everything over. (2 Thessalonians 2:7) It's worth reading that passage in several different versions, and biblegateway.com has a nice selection of modern ones.

It does seem to me that even many unbelievers here are actively doing this, and while that may seem like strange theology to many I can wrap my head around the Truth of it. It's good to be in such company. The only thing I really object to is thinking that DJT is "our only hope" or that he can somehow "save us from this." We have a part to play in what's happening now, even while DJT does a great job. "No greater love has any man than this, that he should lay down his life for his friends." Our founding Fathers all prayed to win the Revolutionary War and attributed their victory to miracles; this destroys the notion academia has been teaching that they were somehow Deists. The only thing we know about Deism in their day is that they strictly held that God won't interfere in the affairs of men. So we know that good Christians were blessed int heir efforts, and it's time for our own "shot heard round the world" to ring out. Hopefully without a single shot being fired, and no one getting hurt.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. I will check out that Thessalonians verse. Another thing that weirds me out is that I've been hearing so many people, in real life and on the internet, praying "Jesus come quick"! I've prayed it myself. There is such wickedness going on. Or maybe it's more people being OPENLY wicked. Anyway it occurred to me recently that there's a whole lot of bad stuff that has to happen, even worse than what's ever happened in history, before Jesus gets here. I would say "be careful what you wish for" but no matter what's coming, it will be worth it in the end. Thanks again.

The New Testament ends with our Lord promising He will come "soon." We can pray in agreement with that. Anything we find in Scripture we can pray along with, and it's not a vain prayer.

We should fight against evil, in every way we can: our own sin, cultural problems we're immersed in, etc. Scripture was written in a time when Christians couldn't possibly play a part in politics. Amazing that we can!

Amen.
