So, the people that vote these 3rd party candidates often are people that are die-hard Libertarians themselves, or they are looking to just throw a protest vote. The protest votes are almost always at least for someone principled in their beliefs, even though they know they will lose.

What is happening is the Democrats look down on regular people and they are hoping people accept and believe them, and Justin Amash is so blinded by his own ego and condescending viewpoint of the people that he actually thinks just like the Democrats due, that people will be dumb enough to fall for his scheme.
