MikesBigJockstrap 117 points ago +119 / -2

Well, OP isn't wrong. Elon is South African. Based rocket merchant.

29
readysetgo 29 points ago +59 / -30

its a funny joke but also perpetuating segregation by calling people differently because of their skin color or where they or their family was from.

either you're American either you're not.

58
Wahzuhbee 58 points ago +62 / -4

Not when the term is actually being used to describe someone who came from Africa. That's the whole joke here: twisting "African American" to be literal as opposed to just meaning "black"

18
TheMAGAnificent 18 points ago +18 / -0

High school in my town had a college scholarship given to an African American. Many people applied, and they pulled he name from the most qualified that fulfilled the criteria. During the school rally they called the kid up on stage: lol and behold it's a white boy. He was from South Africa, but everyone gasped. And they eventually took the scholarship away and gave it to a black kid.

I don't care if you have color specific awards and scholarships, I really don't, as long as all colors and races can do the same without you getting pissed. But taking an award away from someone who met your listed criteria and it's a KID? That's awful. And pandering.

9
ButteryFumes 9 points ago +9 / -0

Wow, that’s ridiculous! Thank you for sharing this

1
Wahzuhbee 1 point ago +2 / -1

Can you imagine being that kid? Publicly having your award given and taken away because the fucking administration had no clue that you were the "wrong race". That's going to fuck with his head for a long time.

2
bonjellu 2 points ago +2 / -0

If the question was race and not place of origin, of which most african americans today were not born in africa. Or could be a joke by the guy unless he was legitly from south africa and then that shts fked mate lmfao

Genetics correlates with personality. Personality correlates with voting patterns.

There's a very good reason Leftists everywhere want endless migration from some regions but not from others. Every libertarian from those groups comes with 10 Statists in their family group. The Right needs to grow up and abandon Civic Nationalism, to do otherwise is Swedish suicide.

What is the difference, they just switched the words around?

21
ShrikeDeCil 21 points ago +21 / -0

SpaceX, like all mil-ind companies, has "Supplier Requirements". Usually 4000 pages of diversity.

SpaceX's page is just one that boils down to: "No Pedos."

3
Magaman_2 3 points ago +3 / -0

link?

7
ShrikeDeCil 7 points ago +7 / -0

If you hit this page, at the very bottom is "Supplier Contractor Policy"

https://www.spacex.com/about

It says "Human Trafficking", but the various things it requires draw in a wide array of "No Pedos!", starting with "Executive Order Blocking the Property of Persons Involved in Serious Human Rights Abuse or Corruption"

And that's the only entry.

Vast majority of Tesla owners and fans are libtards.

Elon single handedly robbed so many democratic campaigns of much needed False Flag financing...

They're probably kicking themselves by the side of the road during this summer's unplanned blackouts.

26

In a socialist America, someone like Elon will be the first up against the wall. If he is lucky.

If not he will be the first put into the gas chambers. Follow by the rest of us.

Did he get less eccentric or have the spectrums come full circle.

So crazy it's brilliant. Very Stable.

11
lifeisahologram 11 points ago +11 / -0

This guy confused me so much. How does he see the truth to this, and so many things, but not like President Trump? How does he not see Trump is literally the only politician in the ENTIRE WORLD fighting against the same forces Elon seemingly can recognize?

Unless it's all an act because he doesn't want to lose all those braindead silicon valley sales and investors?

I hope it's the latter.

28
SameCookiePseudonym 28 points ago +28 / -0

I’m pretty sure he likes Trump. Elon likes productivity and people who get shit done.

Also, it’s suicide for any Silicon Valley founder or executive to openly support Trump.

This is the same guy who endorsed Yang, whose policy is basically automate everyone out of jobs and implement technocracy. Socialism handouts and only starve enough people to prevent revolution.

Don't fall for the Elon meme, kids. Didn't this 60 day free trial of communism teach you anything? Elonreally wants this forever. Just for you, not him.

7

7
RiverFenix 7 points ago +7 / -0

Learn to code... those machines all need to be automated themselves and the steps don't write themselves.

Learn to fix... those machines and software will have bugs/break down mechanically

Learn to install... start a business installing automated systems, you'll make a killing

Learn to drive... Products will fly off the shelves and you might as well get some of that action for your community. Bring them what they want.

.. know what I mean?

Lots of opportunity out there in the world right now. Pick someone in politics you don't like and run for their seat.

3
CucumberInLine 3 points ago +4 / -1

Much is already automated. Pizza vending machines in Japan, why we have pizza hut? Jobs. Communism doesn't work. Socialism doesn't work. Hungry people get angry. Hence the starvation period in every communist revolution. Hence depopulation goals.

We are all equal and all free to pursue happiness. This is where it seems we disagree. NO "acceptable losses."

10
ColbyP 10 points ago +10 / -0

I feel like you're missing an important point. If he's truly free to run his company how he wants, then automating everyone out of a job is his prerogative. If nobody wants to hire you because a robot works for free, that's not capitalisms fault, it's yours for not having valuable skills worth keeping. So either everyone is free to run their business how they want and non-valuable people get cut, or you have the government step in and protect jobs but then you're not actually free. You don't get both.

1
CucumberInLine 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm asking for the opposite of that. Mcdonalds and such haven't fully automated not due to lack of tech but due to optics of many displaced workers. Lost sales would hurt far more than gains from wages. Then what do you do with all the people, as government? Welfare state. Socialism.

1
1
Dreadfort 1 point ago +1 / -0

The subsidy doesn't exist for Tesla in the U.S. anymore. Those are all tax subsidies anyway. You're original comment implied that Tesla was receiving money from tax payers. The way tax subsidies work is that the buyer of an electric car gets to pay less taxes. No taxpayer money goes to anything. Otherwise you could also say that people with no kids are subsidizing people with kids since kids are one of the biggest tax subsidies there are.

I like how you pretend that people care what he thinks because he got famous, rather than because he built several ridiculously successful businesses. It's almost like there's a difference between vapid celebrities that have never made anything of note and businessmen who actually contribute to society through their creations and employment of tens of thousands of people.
