I said earlier that I disagree with his tweet and I don't think it was good. What I am also saying is that no one was actually hurt by it. I did not like the tweet, but I don't think people were actually damaged from it. You keep saying longs and shorts were hurt, and I am not understanding the scenario in which that is true. You keep ignoring me asking how a long or a short was actually hurt, so I'm guessing you don't really know or think that.
FYI: all of your supposed "proofs" of Elon's fraud are based on future progress. You say that Elon is a fraud because they didn't end up selling 500k cars. You say he is a fraud because he did end up raising capital when he said he wouldn't. You say he is a fraud because his cars ended up being "shoddily" built. You sound angry and upset, but it all seems to boil down to "I hate Elon and his companies". Cool man, just don't buy anything from his companies. This is America, we are allowed to have different buying preferences. It just doesn't make sense to me to try to say that someone is a fraud because all of their projections didn't pan out. Especially when most of them end up coming to fruition, albeit a little late. Is Trump a fraud because we haven't built a wall along the whole southern border? Is Apple a fraud because AirPower never got released? Is Microsoft a fraud because their AR glasses haven't been on schedule or lived up to the promises? You need to chill out man and hope that no one judges you by the same standard that you are judging Elon, because unless you are God, you have likely missed some projections in life or failed to meet a deadline. Being ambitious and trying to change the world doesn't mean you are a liar or a fraud if you don't reach your goals. Again, try stacking up your career to Elon's and see how it looks.
Both were hurt. The stock price soared. Hurts the shorts. The stock price fell, the regular stockholders got hurt.
Nothing more needs to be said.
Regarding his fraudulent statements, yes I suppose if you want to let yourself be duped by someone who is known to make lies, go ahead. They are fraudulent statements though. Did they make 500k cars? Did he have a buyer? Were they profitable? NOPE. So he lied. You can't defend it with "it just didn't turn out that way", those were statements that were made, not promises, just lies.
Let's say they were projections and that you're allowed to fail. Ok. Why would you say someone who has made about 150 or 200 projections, let's say, of which 0 came out true? Why would you trust someone after that? How easily duped are you?
Apple and Microsoft does not have a history of making empty promises. Tesla does. In fact, they haven't made ANYTHING but. I mean that. Absolutely zero of their promises have come true. I mean that literally. Not one, or two. ZERO. ZEROOOOOOOOOOOO.
And lol at the "trying to change the world." Steve Jobs changed the world. Elon Musk is a fucking moron who needs state subsidies to sell a car that is ELECTRIC which doesn't fucking matter in the slightest.
this is ridiculous. How about the fact that he made a car company when no one said it was possible? How about he got a china factory up and running, when everyone said it couldn't be done? How about delivering the model Y ahead of schedule? How about re-landing rocketships? How about making electric cars desirable to a large percentage of buyers? How about making the safest cars on the road?
Can you name a safer car than the model X, S, or 3?
In a couple years, when every single car is electric, you will see another example of how he changed the world. The legacy automakers did not innovate at all, and Musk came in and beat them at the game they have been running for over 100 years. He is doing the same thing with space.
Look, if he is such a fraud, and its all a bunch of smoke and mirrors, - you should be happy. You have an excellent opportunity to short the stock and make tons of money. Put your money where your mouth is and short the stock, instead of crying on the internet about how someone who has made thousands of people rich and made the safest and arguably best car in the world is such a bad person. Good luck though with that shorting though, everyone who has tried has gotten burned bad.
Disregarding the fact that Elon Musk has made/founded exactly zero car companies, who said it wasn't possible? There are lots of car companies in the world.
Who said it was impossible to get a factory in China up and running? Plenty of companies have factories in China.
They have never delivered anything ahead of schedule, lol.
Re-landing rocketships? Is that even good? Nobody said it was impossible, that's for sure. It's not done because it doesn't save any costs.
Yes, any other electric car is probably as safe or safer than Tesla cars. It's the lack of an engine that does it.
