"Behind every destroyed industry in the West is a union."
100% Correct. I am from a Steel Mill town that was highly unionized. Unions destroyed the Steel mill industry. I wrote a few papers on it. I remember Standing in the free cheese lines with my pops after he was let go ... 22 years in the mill.
Same as it ever was. Unoins are only needed if laws are not enforced. MAybe we need to remove Police and judges that don't uphold the law, instead of adding new layers of management and pages and pages of rules....
As a fellow Nutmegger, I feel your pain. CT was dying before this shit hit the fan. If Lamont waits until July, the State will lose a large chunk of its tax base and committed suicide. I may have to change my plans and head to NC ahead of schedule. Lower taxes, lower cost of living, warmer climate and Right to Work.
I live in Chicago and everyone thinks the corruption is bad and we need to vote these bad politicians out. I tell them, it all starts with the unions. The unions decide who gets voted in and out. They get in their people that give them big contracts. You have to break the unions before you'll ever start to deal with corruption. Then the people respond, the unions are that bad. The unions give them some money so they don't turn on them. It is organized crime.
I legally withdrew from my union last year due to a ruling (Janus vs. AFSCME/Janus Rights) that made it legal for me to withdraw and not have to pay them a dime. I had the option of not paying them before but the money would still have to be taken out of my check and be given to some other cause which I still felt was unfair. Not sure of your wife's situation, but it may be something worth looking into.
Behind every destroyed industry in the West is a union.
Behind every globalist politician is their voting bloc union.
Behind every bankrupt city, a lot of unions.
