That wasn't "the first big lie." Remember the elevator ride down when he challenged the taboo that you can't talk about enforcing immigration law. He had the audacity to be obviously right, that those willing to break immigration law are not the people we want here. That Mexico's best come here on business, write off the expenses of the trip as business expenses, and enjoy their time here before going back home because they want to. That those who come here illegally have already broken our laws and obviously don't respect the rule of law. That a higher percentage of these people are going to commit other crimes too.
