That wasn't "the first big lie." Remember the elevator ride down when he challenged the taboo that you can't talk about enforcing immigration law. He had the audacity to be obviously right, that those willing to break immigration law are not the people we want here. That Mexico's best come here on business, write off the expenses of the trip as business expenses, and enjoy their time here before going back home because they want to. That those who come here illegally have already broken our laws and obviously don't respect the rule of law. That a higher percentage of these people are going to commit other crimes too.

And MSM spun that as "Trump says all Mexicans are racists."

I would consider that to be "the first big lie." And it's so obviously phony! Yet people still believe that. I know people that have said to my face "they don't care what he meant." "It doesn't matter that [they're] being unreasonable."

And then they try to conflate their emotions with wisdom. That's what people are going into debt to go to College to learn.
