Close to 30 million unemployment, multiple industries collapsing and many more to follow; bad news each new day and yet they say "we are doing a good job" because they successfully lock everyone in their homes. I understand that the disease is bad, I understand that people are dying; but death cannot be worse than the destruction of everything else around us. I am sure that the government, both local and federal has the direct feed of all the information we eventually learn through the media, so I wonder how those people could look at everything that is happening and say "nope, let the lockdown continue". We cannot run nor hide from the inevitable, nor can we cheat death. If we are trying to buy time, we've ran out of capital.

But let's be honest here, it's political through and through. The democrats begged for a recession and they got it; they begged for top-down control and they got it; they begged for socialism and they got it. They love this, AOC said as much, the more desperate the people become, the more they will flock to the side of the government. The desire for power and the efforts to maintain it corrupts the minds and it destroys the soul.
