What absolutely slays me is that for as long as there have been human beings and sicknesses, we instinctively knew to get sunshine when ill. Yet this time the experts knew more than our mothers and grandmothers and their grandmothers who told us to get outside and get some sunshine and fresh air. Staying inside all day is never a good thing, yet that is what they forced on us during a virus spread.
The lack of basic common sense from day one is astounding.
I agree. The "you're safer indoors" argument is absolutely asinine and counter to even our own body of medical research that demonstrates a) sunlight kills the virus, b) being outside in groups is unlikely to transmit the virus because of fresh air and the breeze, and c) vitamin D3 can only be produced in the skin from cholesterol or taken via supplement (or animal sources... l[email protected]).
So literally the SAME medical research that has demonstrated why influenza spreads in the winter is somehow ignorant of identical contributing factors with SARS-CoV-2?
I want to agree with you that it's a lack of common sense, yet something tells me there's a bit more nefarious angle in all of this. Namely that the state wants to exercise its control.
(I'm not suggesting people should huddle together in the store and go lick door handles, of course, and practicing good hygiene and staying away from people you don't know is probably good advice in general. But this isn't something that should be mandated through force of law.)
