Not only don't they not write the legislation, they don't even read it.

This is why we need strictly limited Constitutional government. But that ship has long sailed.

Yep!

That's why moronic Piglosi famously or infamously said, and I paraphrase, "sign it first, pass the bill, and then we can read it." And, that's OK, according to this idiot bc she is a self-proclaimed master legislator.

"We have to pass the bill to find out what's in it." In regards to obama care

Exactly!

Piglosi is a sad sack of shit. And, it truly bothers me to say that about any woman. But this one is EVIL.

Quote:

Oh dear, he’s telling secrets. You see, congress doesn’t actually write legislation. The last item of legislation written by congress was sometime around the mid 1990’s. Modern legislation is sub-contracted to K-Street. Lobbyists write the laws; congress sells the laws; lobbyists then pay congress commissions for passing their laws. That’s the modern legislative business in DC.

Yes, but bottom line is that all too many Americans are NOT aware of the fact that our elected officials in the US Congress are owned and herded this way or another, as needed, by all too many special interests that only care about their agenda.

In the meantime, the needs of the American people are insignificant and mostly ignored.

This is yet another instance whereby the tail is waging the dog. Geotus is trying to change this too.

I'm 61 years old and I didn't know that our representatives didnt write the laws. This was such an informative article. No wonder they hate Geotus and want to bring him down.

Think of the Affordable Care Act. No way one person sat down and generated thousands of pages of that unconstitutional crap. But one person claimed it as their legacy. And 'he' is/was lauded as a 'constitutional scholar.'

No wonder they hate Geotus and want to bring him down.

Sadly, all too true.

Let the house cleaning continue!
