I remember listening to Vijaya Gadde, Twitter’s head of censorship, explain to Tim Pool that Twitter’s reason for censoring conservative voices was safety.
Sparticus was also ok with New York police drones spying and collecting data on citizens, why? He said, quote “The drones will save lives” .
That’s the Left. Use the excuse of safety to remove the freedom.
The irony is that studies show conservatives are more "safetly" oriented (conserve, preserve, more 'fear' alert). Progressives are more "potential" oriented.
Authoritarians use whatever buzz word gets them more control. "Racism." "Safety."
Authoritarians have used right wing buzz words like "Patriotism" only two presidencies ago. The left seems to be clinging to authoritarianism right now so even right buzzwords ("safety" feels more like it should appeal to right wonders) are theirs. They've worked hard to pump fear into the left for that one.
Some leftists are just playing the buzzword game. Some are genuinely terrified true believers.
