When very few people have a need for a drug and the cost of production is passed to the consumer, it will be expensive.

This is why the particular aids meds became so expensive per dose. Millions in research and development can’t be paid back if the cost is low and very few are sold.

To be fair, he did say the trend isn't yet statistically significant and the results will undergo further analysis.

Also, the information I’ve gathered is that this drug is given intravenously. Meaning it’s not a pill.
