I went to the grocery store last week and was the only person not wearing a mask. The number of glares I received was almost jaw-dropping. There are so many fucking pussies in this country. Truly pathetic.

Dr_Falsey 88 points ago +93 / -5

I went into one a few days ago. When people glared like that I started making sheep sounds and laughing.

I'll say it until I die- Ralph Nader is what screwed us up as a country. Rather than letting nature take its due course, he championed for the weak and stupid to be protected from themselves. This mentality is why we are where we are now.

8
AdAstraPerAspera 8 points ago +8 / -0

When you remove the consequences for being stupid, you get a lot more stupid.

He didnt do this, but he gets credit for inventing seatbelts for some reason. Like how Al Gore gets credit for inventing the internet, but he also didn't invent it.

The left sure seems to get a lot of credit for things they never did.

2
SgtThoughtCrime2020 2 points ago +2 / -0

He lobbied for them to be safer, and I believe he might have pushed for them to be required to wear. I could be wrong. Even if I am, I'll still blame him till I die! :-)

5
SgtThoughtCrime2020 5 points ago +5 / -0

He's been a consumer advocate for a long time. I'm sure I'll get some flack for it, but we all put our seatbelts on because of him, not because we choose to. I think he was also behind removing lead from paint so stupid unattended kids couldn't enjoy tasty paint chips any longer. I believe he's done a lot of other things similar, but they've slipped my mind and I don't really allocate much space to him any longer, than the knowledge that he was the catalyst for allowing the stupid and weak to survive well beyond their originally slated expiry date, giving way to newer generations of weaker and dumber offspring. I know it's kind of out there, but that's just...like, how I feel, man.

Same but with the original Space Force hat. It’s the best when people say they love my hat and I say thanks. They ask where I got it and I say the Trump Campaign store and that’s when I see just the tiniest amount of smoke escaping from their ears like their circuits were just fried. The ones that don’t ask where I got it, well I know they know what’s up.

Also in PA and the day before the mandatory mask thing started, I was almost the only person out not wearing one. The looks I got in Target and Home Depot from people were hilarious. Nobody said anything though. Got a head-nod and a smirk from the only other guy not wearing a mask in Home Depot.

Illinois' enhanced stay-at-home order kicks in tomorrow, requiring masks in public. I'm glad I'm close to the Missouri border, I'll be driving across the river for groceries until this stupid shit is over with.

Bonus that I won't have to make any extra trips to get gas without Illinois' shithole gas tax.

11
Djt2029 11 points ago +11 / -0

Who in their right mind who have enchanced measures at this point. Wtf is going on. I'm considering having my employer stop withdrawal of state tax payments. Fuck PA. I'll pay no earlier than I have to.

13
-bumble 13 points ago +13 / -0

Governor Pritzker was asked yesterday about the possibility of opening up the downstate counties that aren't getting hit as hard as Chicago and he literally laughed and said "I don't even know how to respond to that."

Exactly my thoughts when I saw the video of his response to criticisms about that - mush-mouthed bullshit about how politicians' families used to be off limits, blah blah. Look here JB, if your wife doesn't have to follow the rules then why the hell should I?

6
The_Almighty_Kek 6 points ago +6 / -0

I asked my employer if they could just not withhold any taxes and they said "absolutely not". I figured out that if I got to do my own withholding and pay when the tax bill comes, I could make $100/yr letting that money sit in my savings account. Pisses me off that the government forces us to let them steal the money from us before we even see it. It's disgusting and I hate them for it. I hate them for so many reasons, actually.

Those people are idiots. If people want to wear masks to make themselves feel better or safer, that's fine, but I don't have to and won't until I feel it necessary. Also if everyone else is wearing a mask, why would I need to if they are protected?

26
IncredibleMrE1 26 points ago +27 / -1

The amount of stupid is stunning. I think people were genuinely shocked to see someone not conforming to what the box in their living room was telling them everyone has to do.

It's amazing to realize how unplugged one is from the Matrix after having no cable and watching no msm for several years. I was in the hospital a couple of months ago and tried to watch the TV for a while. The commercials were an affront to my senses. I can't imagine how they are right now with all the 'we're all in this together!' virtue signaling going on.

8
SemperFree 8 points ago +8 / -0

They are absolutely horrible. Everyone with the same message. Mass behavioral conditioning.

5
Shroudedf8 5 points ago +5 / -0

Hmmm. It's almost as if someone is telling them all what to say...

6
SemperFree 6 points ago +6 / -0

I believe it is coordinated behavioral conditioning. Who is driving it?

Multiple phase approach. Each phase is designed to make us more compliant and easier to control.

  • Stay home stay safe
  • Wear a mask in public
  • Get vaccine with microchip
  • Scan your microchip to get service

Conspiracy theory yes, but behavioral conditioning is definitely happening.

11
Shivore 11 points ago +11 / -0

I don't wear a mask out, I agree it is unnecessary. That said, the claim isn't that the masks protect the one wearing it. The claim is the mask helps keep the one wearing it from infecting others, combined with the claim you can be infectious with no idea you were ever/are sick.

14
Dialectic 14 points ago +15 / -1

Yeah and that's really what this boils down to. State can make health recommendations and I'm fine with that. I'd still snicker at people wearing masks but I wouldn't be so hostile about it.

Was always wearing a respirator I had after I saw first footage from Wuhan, shit looked bad. Lotta uncertainty back then too. Then the CDC clown-show told people masks don't work --obvious lie. I shopped for elderly people to help out and I'd figure that it isn't all about me right now. I'm probably fine, but don't mind looking foolish but safe.

Now everyone's wearing them and cautious, doesn't mean I've changed much. The pandemic seems less and less severe but still a grind and purge of older/sickly folk. I'm a less safe now, but stick by MY guidelines and MY opinion of the severity. Media be damned, CDC be damned, government be damned.

The safest policy would be to have healthy people be exposed to the virus to develop lifelong immunity while keeping the vulnerable under strict quarantine. What we're doing now is only leaving us vulnerable to a second attack by the same virus.

36
Djt2029 36 points ago +39 / -3

I tried this yesterday (in PA)...Lady stops me at door coming in and says I need to wear mask. I said "what happens if I don't?"...she looked befuddled and said you have to wear one. I go "no i mean like if I just go in the store without one" aka are you going to physicall restrain me? So I go in, no mask. Grocery managers come up to me and tell me I have to. I give them shit and say I am not playing into this fear mongering (one person actually supported me lol)...So then 2 cops are called. They bring a mask (I already had one). I tell them I support LE but our governor is a complete dipshit and they started cracking up, basically agreeing all this is nonsense. However, they said basically the grocery store is private property so I have to abide? I left and ordered online through target.

15
NormaJeanRocks 15 points ago +18 / -3

Illinois goes into effect the 1st, if you are medically able to wear one is added in there. If it came down to cops being called on me I'll tell them I cant wear anything over my mouth due to extreme claustrophobia or some shit. what are they going to do then?

Djt2029 8 points ago +10 / -2

The store manager got so fucking livid with me. I said I am not gonna fear monger and play into this shit that has caused 30 million to be unemployed. He harshly yelled at me that he was trying to keep his job by telling me to put on the mask.

12
RiverFenix 12 points ago +13 / -1

How long will he have a job when people figure out they can shop online and not get yelled at for not wearing a mask.

1
SemperFree 1 point ago +3 / -2

He is just doing his job. He doesn't set policy.

5
Djt2029 5 points ago +5 / -0

I understand this.

7
Scroon 7 points ago +8 / -1

Info for others...yes, stores are private property so they can demand rules and throw you out for trespassing. You will not get arrested unless you do something incredibly stupid like fight a LEO.

That said, civil disobedience is important in this. Ever see one pigeon find a piece of food, then all of a sudden, there are a thousand pigeons on scene? That's what these bird brained people are like.

If you no mask and you get karened, either mask up without acknowledging karen's existence or immediately ask if they're refusing service to you. If they are, then just walk out. (Dropping all your shopping on the floor as you do so is optional.)

12
Djt2029 12 points ago +12 / -0

Exactly what I did. I spoke loud enough so others could hear me. I feel like I did my small part here. Not much more you can do. I completely agree with you, we all need to do our part even if its small. I was apparently 5th guy in the store that day they claimed they called the cops for. Actually, store owner tried to say those 4 were arrested but lol

2
NormaJeanRocks 2 points ago +2 / -0

Good, we need to stand our ground on this...I'll do the same. Not that I really give a shit about wearing a mask, its that they force me too with no real scientific data to back it up. Plus, this mask wearing shit will go well into the summer or who knows how long. Fuck that

Yeah... I know there are those on here that hate Costco. I like Costco. I don't care about anybody's politics when I shop or eat, unless they're shoving it down my throat. That said, Costco has good stuff.

Anyway, they go to "must wear a mask" on Monday. How does that work? Are they going to physically stop me? If I show my card and keep walking what will they do? The ONLY thing I can think of is that they will revoke my membership.

23
keithkman 23 points ago +26 / -3

I’m planning on buying a burka off amazon and wearing that as my mask.

14
Scroon 14 points ago +15 / -1

I already started doing that yesterday. I either go no mask or full burka, depending on how I feel.

I use a shemagh scarf that's sheer enough to see through but looks solid from the outside. People get really uncomfortable because they can't see your eyes. It's great.

I know my state has “mask required for everyone that is medically able to wear one”

Ok so store employee sees you with no mask, well unless they are willing to question your medical state they won’t say anything

But If some weirdo Karen is freaking out about you then they will either give you a gentle reminder or offer you a mask at which point if you decline then what? Depends if Karen is really scared or just wanted to tattle.

I was in a small store with no mask on, everyone was wearing masks, a police officer was there shopping too. No one even batted an eye.

18
Djt2029 18 points ago +20 / -2

10
45fan 10 points ago +12 / -2

7
Djt2029 7 points ago +9 / -2

I'm not sure, I am not an attorney, but I would think the grocery store is private property and has the right to deny my entry??? So if I don't leave I guess its trespassing or something. Cops were very friendly and knew it was all BS, even mocked the directional arrows. Cops should just not be answering calls such as these.

7
UseYourBrain1776 7 points ago +7 / -0

You can say you can’t wear a mask for medical reasons. Under ADA and HIPPA they can’t question what your medical reason is. And if they still want to deny you entry, then they are discriminating against a person with a medical condition.

3
Mexicola1976 3 points ago +3 / -0

HIPPA applies to healthcare professionals- ADA doesn't prevent people from asking. But they have to take your word for it-- it's kind of like the support and therapy pet thing.

Did the cops say "we have to arrest you" or just "hey man, don't cause any trouble." Because those are two very different things. Asking honestly. Because (as is often posted on td.win), the cops will imply they have authority all the time... when they know in fact they have zero authority.

3
Djt2029 3 points ago +3 / -0

I was never threatned with arrest. Just the don't cause any trouble. Honestly, they were cool less actually showing up. I said can we shake hands after and they joked that grocery store would lose its shit if it saw on camera so we gave fist bumps and then I left the store few mins after.

Here's thing though, do they have authority? If a private property requires me to wear something, and I'm not, and they request I leave...idk?

3
chambleepede 3 points ago +3 / -0

this is what needs to be figured out.

can you require rules like this for your customers?

I mean, I guess this is the modern version of no shoes/no shirt... no service?

2
Info_Warrior_Alpha 2 points ago +2 / -0

Businesses are allowed to have a dress code for workers and customers. I can't decide that wearing a shirt is uncomfortable and go shopping shirtless. They will ask me to leave. If i refuse, they can call the cops. This works the same way.

Businesses want their customers to feel ensured that they are in a clean environment. Why customers feel unsafe with people not wearing masks? Media doesn't help. People actually think BREATHING can spread it. That's a whole other issue. I believe when the numbers are down and people start to feel safe, the laws will be allowed to expire or people will protest in larger numbers. We won't be as divided on the issue. Most people aren't wearing masks outside because they innately know it's pointless.

But right now, it's easier for stores to ask everyone to wear masks than track down the one person coughing is aisle 7 and clean whatever they may have coughed on.

16
Choomguy 16 points ago +18 / -2

I had a lowes karen get on my shit two weeks ago. She said i needed to wear a mask, i said you dont get a vote on that. Told her to throw me out.

25
Dr_Falsey 25 points ago +27 / -2

Mandatory masks are foreplay for mandatory vaccines.

7
chambleepede 7 points ago +7 / -0

this is my fundamental question for this whole fiasco: what principle are we using.

Take JUST THE COSTCO... what level is required... mask... one way aisles... 6 foot separation... etc.

Is going the wrong way as bad as not wearing a mask? do they throw me out for that?

we're making up freaking rules on the fly.

1
Choomguy 1 point ago +1 / -0

Its all bullshit so the globalists can get a baseline for how much we will tolerate.

We shouldn’t be tolerating anything close to this.

10
tomjefferson 10 points ago +13 / -3

I like Costco too. I’m going to take a bandanna or something and only wear it if they make a stink about it. They are a private business and they have the right to deny entrance. Might not renew my membership though!

18
RiverFenix 18 points ago +20 / -2

Funny how one business can get in trouble for refusing to bake a cake, but suddenly every 'private business' has the right to shit on the constitution.

We need to add 'Not wearing a mask' to the list of reasons you can't discriminate. /s not /s

For religious reasons, my beard must remain unobstructed. Suckit.

Probably ask you to leave or deny you entrance. Guess we’ll see on Monday!

9
SauronWasFramed 9 points ago +11 / -2

They will likely deny you entrance into the store, or give you a cheap, mask to wear in the store.

Let us know what they do.

7
Choomguy 7 points ago +10 / -3

Thats the quandary for me, i believe a private business has the right to refuse service for a number of reasons. Like the gay cake thing. I did wear a mask in in two small local businesses because they admitted it was bullshit, asked me nicely, and they could be shut down if the dont follow rules. But i made sure they knew they were cucks first.

6
T-Bear 6 points ago +6 / -0

While it is true a private business has the right to set the tone as to how it will conduct business, they do not have the right to take your rights away.

Our God-given, inalienable rights don't have a clause saying, "..we have...the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness - except when dealing with businesses or employed by corporations in the private sector." That clause just isn't there.

If a business wants to set a condition by which your rights are discriminated against, they have the liberty to do that. They also have the accountability for that - and suffer the consequences for doing so.

We are also free to take our business elsewhere, and to use our free speech to persuade others to reject doing business with such businesses and corporations.

Like the bakery in question. Yes, that baker is free to reject service to those he doesn't want to do business with. Those who he doesn't serve are free to take their business elsewhere, and reject his business.

3
Gyrfalcon 3 points ago +3 / -0

From Cosco's webpage:

does not apply to children under the age of 2 or to individuals who are unable to wear a face covering due to a medical condition.

Just claim medical.

4
HiddenDekuScrub 4 points ago +4 / -0

"I have medical reasons for not wearing a mask. I'm making it my civic duty to catch this thing and contribute to the herd immunity the rest of you are delaying."

Wonder how many Karens that would trigger.

It's full of Quarantine Karens, and HEB is like a damn religion to the 1/2 of Texas south of D/FW.

Not so much in D/FW - there's like 1 HEB in way south Ft. Worth and that's it.

3
octhrope 3 points ago +3 / -0

they kicked the donald and i left with it. i agree, people love shit they shouldn't way too much. HEB is really hot meh and Market Street (Lubbock based) is a way better alternative in my opinion.

Bonus hate Aldi is garbage too.

Walmart and Target are the same. Every large city is controlled by liberal mayors who went insane with restrictions. Laredo, Texas was the first to mandate masks in public and driving with a mask on while driving if there are more than 2 adults in the car.

Laredo has 363 cases with 16 deaths. Laredo has a population close to 300k. 🤡🌍

5
RiverFenix 5 points ago +6 / -1

What if we put a mask on where the entire middle part of it has been cut out?

instead of translucent, it's just nothing.

That's when I figured the mask thing was bullshit.

8
The_Bloofy_Bullshark 8 points ago +10 / -2

They were selling single use masks at my local supermarket for $15. The ones my dental technician wears. I literally could order a box of 100 of them pretty cheap (I won’t though because I uhhhhhh have a medical condition that precludes me from being able to wear a mask ;) )

25
MasterRaider 25 points ago +30 / -5

We saw a Walmart employee yell at someone yesterday for walking the wrong way. I told my wife, "$20 says that cuck won't say a fucking word to me."

I walked the wrong way right at him. He didn't say a word. Liberty or death stride works every time.

5
victoryisusa 5 points ago +8 / -3

I don’t wear a mask at the store. I saw one other person without one. Asked if he had gotten any crap from someone. He said he didn’t give a fuck. Now, this guy was big. I’m a pretty small woman so I would think I would be an easier target. Haven’t had anyone say anything yet but it’s only a matter of time.

4
Scroon 4 points ago +6 / -2

The only other no mask person I've seen around here was an petite older woman who looked liked she didn't give a fuck. Let me tell you, I have an incredible amount of respect for her. She showed more balls than any of the hefty 6 foot "men" in the same store.

3
Nicole333 3 points ago +6 / -3

12
TheMadManDidItAgain 12 points ago +16 / -4

Careful dude, an American Eagle might land on that beefy arm of yours!

BTW, I TOTALLY am the same guy. I was at the store and one of the loons was behind me when I got eggs. I turned my cart around, said "excuse me"... she looked at the sign on the floor, then looked at me, then moved to the other side of the aisle (as if I was literally the covid virus myself). And, I didn't have a mask on.

The passive aggressiveness I am experiencing with people is hilarious!

4
anon1011101 4 points ago +4 / -0

I don't follow any of these stupid rules. I might start wearing a ski mask to see how they like that instead.

12
Miserable_company 12 points ago +14 / -2

Aisles have directions...?

8
Seruna_Kanus 8 points ago +10 / -2

Walmart at least has flow arrows now. "Enter this way". "do not enter" to guide shopper traffic. In their perfect world we would all mechanically follow the path they want. But shopping is organic and influenced more by other psychological measures.

If anything, this may cause a loss in product sales due to people being made to avoid or skip product they may want to get.

In many stores now, yes. For the life of me, I can't decipher the thinking behind that, and I'm quite sure there's no logical rationale. It's just another one of these "we must do something" petty rules that aren't grounded in fluid dynamics or anything like that, but are purely emotional responses of panicked sheep.

Like the arbitrary 6 foot distance while standing in line thing, which is ultimately based on the ridiculous idea that the air somebody exhales somehow remains in that person's orbit as they move forward in line, and that the person right behind him is somehow not exposed to that poisonous air as soon as they move up in line and take the first guy's spot where he was standing just a second earlier. It's not even clown world anymore, just pure idiocracy.

3
The_Bloofy_Bullshark 3 points ago +5 / -2

7

Wally World isn't even trying to enforce that shit where I live. Not wearing a mask over some dumb flu.

6
booblitchutz 6 points ago +6 / -0

I don't wear a mask. I live in a sparsely populated part of Texas where there is a very small number of cases. I refuse to buy into this "EVERY INCH OF AMERICA IS NEW YORK CITY" bullshit.

If someone wants to give me a dirty look, I really don't care. I'm showing everyone there's nothing to be afraid of.

5
Lballs 5 points ago +6 / -1

I will absolutely use the medical reason if someone asks. “Are you discriminating against me because I can’t wear a mask?”

Fuck them if they want to know what my medical reason is though.

Did you ever call anyone a terrorist in the past for not wearing a mask during particularly bad flu seasons? I get its the coronavirus this time, but the principal is the same. Just as long as you don't go around coughing all over everyone or everything, there isn't anything immoral about choosing not to wear a mask. It started as a choice before tyrannical governors do what they do.

-4
deleted -4 points ago +2 / -6
3
theredditexodus 3 points ago +3 / -0

Exactly, it's the hysteria driving policy. Typically, masks are worn by those who are sick, not young, healthy individuals. And the CDC recommended masks. Not required. The governors have been in an absolute pissing contest with who can do more to "flatten the curve". They did the same thing with congregation of people. CDC recommended no more than 50 people, then all the governors said 40 people, then 30, then 10.
