So if somebody is wearing a mask, a non N95 one, just a regular one or just some kind of cloth. Fart next to them.

While the mask won't protect from direct virus exposure, it helps remind oneself not to touch their face and helps prevent an infected person from spreading.
Nothing wrong with trying to help protect vulnerable people for awhile. It's a decent trade-off to get things back open NOW.

Lol just being snarky. I get the whole mask deal. But as long as they’re pushing the bullshit social distancing, wtf would you need a mask for? Are people walking just constantly blowing raspberries while walking around?
I wasn't thinking about masks outdoors but in grocery stores and places where people congregate. I realize not everywhere, but I'm in a part of NJ where the cases are still rising significantly.
They admit masks don't stop you from getting the virus, only keep you from spitting on the other guy. It has a couple purposes. Some reassurance (but they are the ones who hype the fear). And compliance, even if it doesn't really do anything to stop the virus. Like closing parks and beaches and keeping people from buying garden seeds. IOW messing w people.
