Serious question: What was the point of the legislature voting on extending the order earlier today that made the news because of the protests (specifically, voting not to extend it) - what was the point of having the vote at all if the governor can unilaterally extend it anyway? Did legislature even have the authority to extend it? Apparently they don't have the authority to make it not extended...

They refused to extend the pandemic specific emergency order. She then used an older more generic version, and they're going to take it to the courts to stop it. But that takes time and nothing is guaranteed.
