“700 empty hospital beds”...

In fucking Detroit.

And the whole state remains locked down until the middle of May.

Whitmer should’ve been dragged out into the street weeks ago.

So many numbers just don't make sense to me until I put it in perspective that billions of people still have not been tested for the virus or antibodies, and the death toll includes people who died for some reason and happened to have the virus in their system.

Unfortunately the ignorant fearmongers are still using numbers we do have as a cudgel to beat people into agreeing with them, and using "per capita" when it suits them.

BigleaguendTouchee 11 points ago +11 / -0

Don’t forget the people that were just maybe might have probably had the virus but we’re never ever tested but still add to the list of infection and died of Alzheimer’s complications that were neglected by hospital staff.

They caught them doing this on the Project Veritus investigation.

It turns out they never had it but were add to the Covid list anyway.

Now that Covid dead people are voting Democrat they are in no hurry to change anything.

and happened to have the virus in their system.

This one's actually optional. It's a waste of testing resources to check if a corpse had the Xi Jinbing, so whatever the coroner says, goes.

Can someone please explain the bullshit i read the other day from NYT that was at the top of reddit that said CDC data suggests that the coronavirus death toll is far higher than reported. I got downvoted into oblivion for suggesting that that's not true, especially when people who aren't dying from covid are being counted as covid.

3
Horkers4Trump 3 points ago +3 / -0

You can pull any data and draw whatever conclusion you want from it. The truth is easier to justify with data, but with enough statistical artistry you can back up any claim.

Given the NYT's skill with creating fiction, I'm not surprised they could pull this off.

I saw what was left of a flattened possum on the edge of the road the other day. Surely if that poor animal hadn't had to stop and cough, it would have made it safely across the road.
Covid-19 death for sure!

But muh tests

We need more tests

Our country is testing so many people-tons of them are “so sick” they don’t even know they have this virus, which Cuomo said “the virus is death!”

They’ve tried bamboozling our country. 30 million unemployed for this BS

HockeyMom4Trump 11 points ago +11 / -0

Sounds to me like that curve has been flattened.

Open up Michigan.

Half Whit apparently wants to destroy her political career,

Exactly! We are one smart group of pedes!

All it takes is to do it to one politician and many more copy cat cases will happen. This movement needs to happen. This is how we take our county back.

Red states open up. Let the liberal hell holes rot if they want, but we should not have to bail out any states,

It's a cruel irony - shut down the hospitals waiting for the surge of c-19 cases, the cases never show, so we bankrupt the very business that provided the economics for the beds being there in the first place.

WeinerLapTop 30 points ago +30 / -0

Fuck our medical sector. This was all done because we assumed they were fucking incompetent and they cried and said, yes, we are unable to do our job. So we took 2 weeks to not overwelm the hospital system. Now, we are fucked. Im so fucking angry.

19
IAbsolutelyDare 19 points ago +19 / -0

No one mentions this. We have every reason to expect a vital service like medical care would have some plan for dealing with a surge, especially an entirely predictable one with months to get ready, and yet they claim they had nothing ready and they got a pass for it.

Then they overran the "fifteen days to flatten the curve" deadline that we so generously gave them and they got a pass for that.

Then they danced in the hallways as the country starved, and got a pass for that.

This is entirely their fault, no one else's, and instead of getting the blame they deserve for their systemic incompetence they get called heroes for it.

WeinerLapTop 13 points ago +13 / -0

True clown world shit. There are a ton of smart doctors, America has the best healthcare system in the world. But this fucking scenario shows we have zero people of any capability outside of medical knowledge in our healthcare system. Where are the engineers and actuaries?? The innovators? The planners? Total incompetence all around. Fauci has been prepping for this disease, his own words, for 20 years. Yet we were completely "overwhelmed" before there were any real cases. So heroic. Time to nut up and instead they fucking cried and made the entire econony stop. For them, and only them.

12
HockeyMom4Trump 12 points ago +12 / -0

But muh flatten the curve! Hospitals will be overrun and nurses won’t have enough time to choreograph dance routines and make tic tok videos

When they tell you the shut down is about health but tens of millions of people cannot get medical or dental care for months . . . that's a clue.

Our governor "allows" medical and dental care to resume 1 May, but big institutions are staying closed arbitrarily -- no analysis of risk or need. Just deny all care to everyone.

HockeyMom4Trump 9 points ago +9 / -0

This is so illogical and detrimental to health it is true Clown World

One of my friends is a nurse at U of M hospital, and she worked in the covid ICU. 5 days ago, she posted that the ward closed. If the virus is so bad, and the claim that the protests will cause more people to be infected, why would they close down the ward? They would need to accommodate all the newly infected that require hospitalization, wouldn't they? 🤔

Obama claimed people getting yearly checkups would save millions of lives. He used that line to push Obama care through. We need to find the footage of him saying that and spread it. According to his logic, millions will die if they cannot get yearly checkups.

Thousands are going to die from not be able to access cancer treatment. If it goes on longer you can bump that up to the tens of thousands.

That's just from cancer. Go look at the deaths in America last year from cancer. Look at the ones that were successfully treated for it.

Locking down will be looked back at by millions of families as not worth it at all for the cost in lives from other illnesses.

WTH, just open the hospital up. What can she do? Send cops to arrest all the doctors and nurses. The people give the represenatives their but also reserve the right to take it back. So take it back.
