Sociopaths and manipulators use these three roles to gain advantage over others. Each is a social "power role".

Here Schumer is accusing the government of a fault, claiming to represent the victims of that fault, and also acting as a savior to those victims.

In contrast, an honest person acknowledges a problem but doesn't focus on fault, promotes personal responsibility not victimhood, and performs the role of servant and friend not savior.
