SALT is a discount on federal taxes to people who live in Blue States. Their ‘logic’ is that because they pay high State taxes, they don’t have to pay as much into the Federal taxes. Trump cut that shit out. I find it amusing that the people who shout ‘tax me more’ are upset when they have to pay their ‘fair share’ of federal taxes.
