The exact quote for those who don't have time is "The assignment was meant to teach students about the “atrocity of slavery and the history of white culture devaluing humans, but it did not do that,” the district said in its release”
I’m writing in regards to the public statement and “apology” that was issued regarding a controversial lesson taught on the history of slavery in the western world.
I can’t comment on the nature of the original assignment that incensed members of the community and made the district the target of a local media backlash. I’m writing to express my absolute disgust with the admitted intention of the lesson.
“The overall lesson presented was intended to teach an atrocity of slavery and the history of white culture devaluing humans…”
Replace the word white with any other ethnicity. Is the statement still ok to say?
Are there also lessons planned to discuss the history of Asian culture devaluing human life? Perhaps how the Japanese during WWII subjected people to frostbite until their limbs froze off, injected with fatal diseases and then had live operations performed on them without anesthesia, forced at gunpoint to be raped by syphilis-infected men? People shot with bullets or stuck with bayonets or scorched with flamethrowers while tied to stakes, placed in centrifuges and spun to death, shoved inside pressure chambers until their eyes popped out, crushed with heavy objects, and buried alive?
Perhaps a lesson on the history of Muslim culture devaluing human life? How 1.5 Million white Europeans were enslaved in the Barbary slave trade? How to this day radical Islamic ideology accounts for untold numbers of atrocities around the globe?
God forbid, a lesson on the history of black culture devaluing human life? Think Rwanda.
Examples can be found for all groups. Humans have a history of devaluing human life. Teaching a lesson to a predominantly Caucasian school body about how they should feel shame for who they are because of things that were done by people they didn’t know is sickening. Seems like it's en vogue nowadays to diminish the positive aspects of historical "white culture", the only racial group it's socially acceptable to discriminate against. And it's a history of lessons like this that is making it so.
I agree that a spotlight needs to be held up to uncomfortable truths of an uncomfortable history. Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it. Cherry-picking lessons to gaslight children into thinking they need to feel ashamed is criminal.
Again, I’m only responding to your own words.
As a parent of a child in PPS, I’m truly regretful. If I didn’t share joint custody of my child, I would pull my child from your district immediately.
Please help me to spread this around. These liberal institutions are dividing and destroying our country and polluting our youth. "If you tolerate this, then your children will be next"
If anybody is as disgusted as me, please write the superintendent. [email protected]

There was so much I wanted to include.
This confirms that the common core curriculum, another scheme by BG, is absolute bullshit! No wonder kids have no patriotism.
This was my response

With much animus,
My name
Excellently put! I'm trying to remove all the curse words from my letter as this infuriates me to no end
That was the hardest part for me too.
Fucking disgusting! More “inclusion”, “equity”, “diversity training”....as a response to an assignment about how awful YT is....
