There is a confounding of terms. "Expert" comes from the Latin and means someone with experience -- someone who actually has succeeded in making something work. But the Universities have run a scam where they started calling people to whom they gave good grades "Experts" because they had studied someone else's work -- often never leaving the University to even try actually making something work. Calling both of these "experts" is just foolish.
Perhaps the term "expert" should be restricted to someone with actual experience.
The other group could be called "scholars" or perhaps more appropriately, "mandarins."
Reminds me the debate I had today. A socialist asked me where it is written that socialism is supposed to be violent. No problem buddy, I can provide you the facts based on the theory and practice as well. Oh boy, was he in for a treat. I pulled Marx's "Dictatorship of the Proletariat", and proceeded with Russia's nationalization of the farmland of Kulaks and China's nationalization. 3 links & 3 nice quotes. Why the fuck do I have to lecture these morons about their OWN ideology? Why do they have opinions? My dog has better opinions than them.
I wonder what he will respond. I also have a conversation going on with some very radical leftist on Reddit, to whom CNN is not leftist enough to be called leftist apparently. That guy is just RANTING about "capitalism." Continually makes baseless claims and provides no arguments - just reiterating his programming.
Yeah, it's ridiculous. I am not sure if it's the definitions or their lack of understanding. Sometimes they manage to utter the words correctly, and then they jump to some ridiculous claim and I am just thinking "what???????????"
Basically: Addition is the sum of two numbers. If both numbers are positive, the result is positive as well. Then suddenly: 2+2=-154500123855 * ∞^4
Oh they certainly do know what words mean. That’s why they say what they say. Do not be mistaken; the goal is to control and manipulate language. That is, to convince people up is down and down is up. Freedom is oppression, tyranny of authority is peace.
And really Trump did a good job responding. It was a few states that had no planning for a crisis. Also a major overreaction by many fascist governors that will cause a lot of harm for months to come. So state governments were awful, the CDC fucked up bad, but Trump was actually pretty good.
I know, I expect that response... that's why I neatly provided it along with the theory itself. When some socialist idiot tries to claim how socialism or communism has nothing to do with violence, I provide them with that juicy cocktail.
There is no refuge from that. They can't hope for reality or history to argue for them, only their shitty theory. But if you debunk their theory, there is nothing left. Unless they try to assert that not only reality is wrong, but also their prophet Marx himself.
At that point they have to argue that he didn't mean it like that. Then you can point out how it is interpreted 100% of the time anyway, and why that interpretation is correct. Then point out that it's reasonable to assume that the issue is rooted in a large chunk of the population, and not just some 1% minority, so it's logical to persecute a whole lot of people. And so they did.
Unless they are dumbfucks and are too stupid to follow through the debate and somehow go astray into some bullshit.
This may very well be part of the college indoctrination to weaponize misinformation for politics. We are dealing with some machiavellian masterminds, governors who are smarter than we think (but taking orders from above), and then last but not least, the stupid sheep who fall for it all.
Lived through the 2008 crash. Watched it all happen. I went through nearly two years of buying 3 or 4 papers a day just to get the business news.
Most of the experts back then (though financial experts) were all wrong.
Think it was around early March as Italy's breakout was spreading to other countries, the health "experts" started to come out with the end of the world numbers. Then they went onto TV.
Now I shit you not the first thing I thought of was those same experts from back then as they talked exactly like them. It was a virus they knew nothing about but yet knew how long it would go on for. How long we would need to fuck around. How long we would be trapped by the "NEW NORMAL".
Yet the STILL know nothing about the virus if asked directly about it.
We have for some retarded reason put the future of the whole world in the hands of people that do not have a fucking clue.
It would be like putting those same experts back from 2008 in charge of anything. I can tell you with 100% certainty it would have ended the western world back in 2008.
Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. 24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
I am seriously moving this summer. I live in Oregon, and I need to get out, this whole mess proved I can't trust living my own life free of molestation from liberals in charge.
South Dakota is seriously high on the list. Although I am heavily thinking red/rural areas of Texas too, since I still want access to cheap airfare (which the big Texas cities have). But the midwest appeals too with its cheap real estate, like Indiana.
I understand if you don't want to say what it is, but please try and find out if you can do it in Texas, or almost anywhere else lol. If its house or business related, I am certain you can find another location. If its education related, its a mistake lol. If you absolutely MUST move to Oregon, don't cross the halfway point and be near the coast. Stay on the east side!
Recommend adding Alaska to that list. No state tax here, don't need to buy guns through an official (which means you can buy off Craigslist), and the population is much more accepting of living off the land, home school, and general anti-government sentiment.
Alaska is a great place. I visited Anchorage there for a couple weeks before. Fairly active downtown thanks to the military bases, and they have all the convenience of big cities in regards to stores as far as I could see. Good weekend markets too.
Florida would be nice, I'm curious how often do you find yourself going to the theme parks or their city walks? I know they sell resident passes, are they worth it?
Dude sounds amazing! Definitely was a much appreciated rant! I will have to consider Florida.
I didn't have to pay more than $15 for a license plate!" Yeah, but you also paid income tax, retard
lol. So true. But it is the kind of thinking that is in line with most liberal policies right? They like the superficial feel good things, they hate deep diving on issues.
As far as city walks, that’s just the bars/restaurants/shops outside of the theme parks in Cali and Florida
It's in the back of the mind of millions of people across the western world. Including myself. I might have to move to get work as I work in a job that will be the last to open.
Not many options in my part of the world but I might just have to.
In America moving out of blue states should be everyone's priority. If you rent and still work. Move asap. Harder for people that have to buy or sell.
Basically any red state will do. If you don't want to move too far, I really enjoyed my visit to Idaho. Beautiful state. Not sure what it's like to live there. I'm in Alabama and they let you live here too, and in the northeast of the state is a pretty good place to live as you are close to mountains, hiking, kayaking, and still not too far of a drive south to some beautiful beaches. Though I like the thought of pedes moving to a state that could use a red vote or two.
Somebody check out her stances on 2A, abortion, and immigration and see if we can put her on the short list for 2024. Strong, smart, successful, beautiful. Good luck libs.
It's rare, but there do exist women who are suited to high-level leadership positions. I'm female myself and know that I'm not one of them, in fact, I've only encountered two women in my life to date that I consider potentially capable of running a country well. Those women would be the equal of any man in such a role - I've no idea if this governor is like that, but there's no need to discount her entirely on the basis of sex.
You chose your governor very, very well! Congratulations South Dakota!
The land of Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial is an absolutely wonderful place to visit! Open up so the rest of us can come on up! Talk about a great road trip!
I knew a guy who moved out there and I thought he was crazy. Then he built a nice house with lots of land all for like 60k (this was back in 2010 or so). It would have been a 2 million dollar endeavor in CA, with insane property tax on top of it.
Can you get enough sunlight and fresh water and access to markets to make a go of it with a small time market gardening business? Or would it only be a personal use thing if you got an acre pumping out heirloom veggies, honey, and eggs?
exactly this

MAGA
An army of emotionally childlike wimps saying, "Sure it works in reality, but does it work in theory?"

I just had a comical conversation with someone who was claiming that capitalism was the reason Trump did such a bad job handling this situation.
The government botched the job, so we should give the government even more power so they can... botch it harder in the future?
Oh and apparently the private sector stepping up and providing PPE is because socialism is better.
These people have no idea what words mean.
Yeah, it's ridiculous. I am not sure if it's the definitions or their lack of understanding. Sometimes they manage to utter the words correctly, and then they jump to some ridiculous claim and I am just thinking "what???????????"

Come on man. China and the Soviet Union? That wasn't real Socialism.
Ba dump bump...ching!

Yep, which is why I no longer bother to argue with far-left "liberals".
Ignoring reality and the pretzel logic they apply to everything earns a hard pass from me.
I treat all leftwing loonies like I do known Narcissists: No Contact.
"That bumblebee cannot possibly fly!"

Spot-on MANDARINS
We're the fucking experts here, how often are we right, way ahead of anyone else?
Amen brother!!
The only expert I recognize is Barron Trump.
I think it's pronounced "fucking retards".
Edit: That's "fə-kiŋ ri-ˈtärds" for lurking leftists...
We should refer to them as Miss Cleos. They have similar forecasting accuracy.
Experts BTFO!
And the story gets dropped by MSM. The faster it gets lost in the news, the more right he was.

At least 2,000 years!

Texas is the greatest country in the world and only a fool would leave it for Oregon.

Well I suppose Medford is probably the least worst city on the west side, ideologically speaking.
You also have access to In N Out there. So that's a plus lol

I move to SD from Las Vegas about a year ago. I would be so screwed if I was in LV right now.
Mountain Time Zone, here I come.

In related news, it has been two weeks since they opened that beach in Jacksonville, Florida. How are the ICU beds doing over there? Still empty?
Nope they had to open up a Jimmy Buffett Morguearitaville to deal with all the dead beachgoers.
Idiots in Florida. They literally voted for Republicans and death when they could have simply voted for Democrats and eternal life. (Ha!)

Leadership takes courage.
Kristi Noem is a leader. Not a lot of leadership (from either party) during this fiasco.
Why would you want a woman in charge of the country?
Mrs. Thatcher was far from perfect, but she was better than all the male PMs for thirty years before and thirty years after, so there's that.
It's rare, but there do exist women who are suited to high-level leadership positions. I'm not sure.
I love the liberal echo chamber. Reassures me of the corrupt DNC talking point chain and who is on it.
That teared me up a bit too. That’s awesome. So much courage and leadership, and so young!! We need more like her.
I like Robert Ringers advice about experts and how to deal with them

This is a great thread -

That is an EXCELLENT thread!! If he did that with all of the mockingbird headlines, it will fill up a million Twatter feeds.
I swear, South Dakota is on the short list if I change states.
But economists have said that we'd recover faster if the shutdown continued. Literally saw that comment today.
mommy
I would like to make love to her
These are the MANDARINS. THANKS TO AlexanderV11492
