Every damn voter in GA needs to really be thankful Abrams lost (idk has she ever even admitted she lost or is she still trying to finagle more recounts?). GA would be totally locked down probably through at least another 3-4 weeks minimum. I hope people are realizing this and it’s demonstrating that elections have real consequences. Well said, God Bless GA, that’s a tough decision especially when even Trump disagreed but still said he was on his side. I hope Kemp makes many other state governors look like idiots when this is all over.

GA would be shut down with Tank Abrams stuffing Twinkies in her mouth in between "stay home extensions"

I don't think a 4X8 could fill the gap between her teeth

YouKnowWhatItIs87 6 points ago +6 / -0

Tank Abrams

Lol, haven’t heard that one before, pretty accurate tho. (And that’s about the only way I could ever use the word pretty when discussing her).

Block_Helen 4 points ago +4 / -0

Strahan before he lost weight. Right down to the gap.

YouKnowWhatItIs87 4 points ago +4 / -0

Lol, shots fired! I prefer to not make fun of appearance, but somebody who lied about falsely winning an election. She ‘believes’ all women who come forward about sexual assault....but still justifies voting for Biden. The gloves have been off for a while when it comes to ‘orange man’ ‘cotton candy hair’ and we’re all just ‘hayseed hick cult followers’ since we’re too st- st- st- stupid because we want to WORK for a living instead of sheltering in place, so yeah, she’s fair game and this is spot on!

Those of us who voted for Governor Brian Kemp are happy and proud of his leadership during this plandemic.

10
trumpdouble 10 points ago +10 / -0

I voted for him, of course. I was disappointed when he picked Kelly Loeffler for the open senate seat, but he got a little of my respect back by opening up business before any other state. Still too slow, but he got us moving!

5
Leatherwood 5 points ago +6 / -1

I feel exactly the same. I'm planning to vote for Doug Collins in the primary. I don't think that Gov Kemp really wanted to close GA but was pressured into it by the Dem mayors.

I guess the virus is pretty smart. If you are in a big time supermarket or home depot surrounded by people you are still safe from it...but if you are in a small business, you are dead meat. That tricky corona right? People aren't staying in anymore, they are going insane with nothing to do.

14
OnlyTrump20 14 points ago +14 / -0

The only reason was to prevent the ERs from being overrun and they are not.

The lockdown is no longer needed.

3
side_o_beef 3 points ago +3 / -0

The left: ackshually now we need to keep people inside until we have full communism.

2
Block_Helen 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ostensibly, that was the reason. We all knew the real reason.

People are gonna get sick because they're immune systems are weakened from STAYING AT FUCKING HOME. Derp. Hopefully it's not the 'rona.

11
SiBear117 11 points ago +11 / -0

Hopefully because we are heading into Summer the heat, humidity and sun will neutralize the effects combined with people being together again.

2
tufftoffee 2 points ago +2 / -0

Morale does wonders for the immune system.

4
ADAM_SCHITT 4 points ago +4 / -0

Remember if the libs are correct in their models (they're not), Georgia will see a massive spike in their numbers within 2-3 weeks and overwhelm their hospitals.

33
CaptainChrisPBacon 33 points ago +35 / -2

The Gov is getting a rash of shit from Democratic strongholds in the State like Savannah and Atlanta. If Wide Gap would of won the Governorship we would be shut down until George Soros gave the OK to open back up.

Small businesses going out of business helps globalism.

Rip_the_donaldII 18 points ago +18 / -0

I'm in NC and even our dem run largest city Charlotte has said they're ready to open up.

12
1A2A 12 points ago +12 / -0

Such a shame what's happening in NC, I always held it in such high regard. Cancerous left really has metastasized.

6
duck_keeper 6 points ago +7 / -1

yep Charlotte is pretty much open...I've been to Lowes, Home Depot and Walmart and every one of them are biz a usual - busy. I'll be at the at the polls with bells on to vote that imbecile Cooper out of office.....Damn I need a haircut.

7
Rip_the_donaldII 7 points ago +8 / -1

Yep i love near Charlotte and today looked like any other friday. I didnt see any businesses closed, roads were packed. I stopped at a Taco Bell and while they're supposed to be closed except at the drive thru, i saw a customer go inside with no problems and look at the menu. My work is going to open with phase 1 regardless of whether or not it's allowed. Already getting equipment and stuff in place.

1
Block_Helen 1 point ago +1 / -0

Fantastic news pede.

3
dakin116 3 points ago +3 / -0

Used to live in gastonia so this surprises me! Good for charlotte though

4
DaLaohu 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yep. Even the Dem. Mayor of Georgia told everyone to remain shut-ins. Yet, you know if it was Stacey Abrams everyone would be out on the streets with grand reopening signs.

Too hot and humid in Brazil. People crammed into houses will spread it, though, so staying indoors should not be recommended for Brazil.

Guayaquil is in Ecuador. Yeah Brazil is bad but I mean I expected the virus to level densely populated places there like Rio or Sao Paulo, not an Amazon city.

...waiting for millions upon millions to die. I’m utterly shocked it hasn’t happened yet! /s

2
DoYouBelieveInMAGA 2 points ago +2 / -0

People will die

2
YouKnowWhatItIs87 2 points ago +2 / -0

And Kemp, possibly Trump will be blamed. I just hope he stands strong and makes it clear that his policies to reopen had absolutely no bearing on this, it’s inevitable that some are going to die, but reopening is not the cause. I’m fairly confident t he’ll make that clear when staring down the barrel of the hostile media.

1
HuggableBear 1 point ago +1 / -0

People were always going to die. There's no vaccine and no simple cure. The social distancing was to keep hospitals from being overwhelmed so that people who otherwise would have recovered due to hospital care didn't die from lack of it.

That's what we have to keep reminding the idiots on the left. This has never been about destroying the virus. That's what vaccine research is for. This has been about keeping hospitals above water, which we have done and we need to get the fuck back to work now.

1
DoYouBelieveInMAGA 1 point ago +1 / -0

We overreacted. Disagree that thus was ever acceptable. Literally just the flu.

1
HuggableBear 1 point ago +1 / -0

Never said it was acceptable, just that we can't let them move the goalposts on us. We did what we said we were going to do, now let's get back to work.

14
Somniac 14 points ago +14 / -0

The move drew criticism by mainstream media, which has claimed Georgia may see a rise in COVID-19 cases.

Georgia is going to see an increase in the number of cases regardless because of how we are ramping up testing. We were ranked at 45 but are now 30th, last I checked. That will naturally cause an increase but don’t expect MSM to mention that.

12
OnlyTrump20 12 points ago +12 / -0

The number of positive tests is irrelevant. The number of people needing the ICU and oxygen is what matters.

3
HuggableBear 3 points ago +3 / -0

Even that isn't what matters.

What matters is how many people need hospital beds or ventilators and can't get them because hospitals are overcrowded.

So far in GA, that number has been zero. As long as it stays that way, opening up is the right call.

2
OnlyTrump20 2 points ago +2 / -0

So far it's only been a disaster for nursing homes and deplorable living conditions and mass transit like in NYC.

14
Pablomaracas 14 points ago +14 / -0

I am in Georgia now: Had my first sit down meal at a restaurant since March. Survived. Cars on the road. Life moving forward. People happy. Sun shining. Spending time with family. Hugging, kissing, shaking hands. Celebrating.

1
tufftoffee 1 point ago +1 / -0

Might go visit GA soon so I can have a nice night out with my family again.

11
Ebbie8708 11 points ago +11 / -0

Considering how shitty the weather is gonna be in like two days (southern heat + humidity), I wouldn’t be surprised if the citizens go ‘fuck these masks!’

Black women can go from 0 to 100 and Atlanta is mostly black.

1
tufftoffee 1 point ago +1 / -0

Considering some people already don't cover their noses with the masks because "it's hard to breathe" removing it entirely isn't too far off the mark.

People who don't cover their noses might as well not wear a mask anyway, since at that point the mask has been compromised and is pretty much useless.

Proud Georgian here. So glad I live here. I feel for you pedes in states where your governors are on a power trip.

8

I travel for work. I'm from NC, but have been working in South Carolina for a couple months. I have a couple days off, so I decided to travel to Georgia (instead of going back to NC) to experience freedom. I came to Athens, GA. I got a haircut at a Supercuts. Then I went to a restaurant called Cheddars (been there before in NC and WV). Got the 12oz ribeye and a couple draft beers. Ate the shit INSIDE the restaurant. Beautiful!! Freedom, Baby! Kemp is the man!!

BTW everyone I interacted with in GA was nice as hell. I mean, like every single person from grocery store workers, to gas station attendants, to hair cutters, to the hotel people, etc. Very impressive!! Georgia is a fucking awesome state!!!! Gorgeous too!!

3
TrumpVoter1 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yep I ate in outback a couple of days ago

7
LarryATL 7 points ago +7 / -0

GA resident here, originally from Michigan (still have relatives there, and feel for them). Sooo glad I live here in GA, and am glad Kemp had the courage to lead the nation. He'll definitively have my vote again. Restaurants are gradually reopening for dine in, lots more cars on the road, most people seem relieved/happy. More and more businesses reopening. Make America Great Again, Again!!!

7
Warren_Puffitt 7 points ago +8 / -1

My boss said he agreed with kemp then right after posted a pic of trump paddling kemp whip kemp says “thank you sir may I have another!”

Zero context, trump didn’t make kemp do anything just supporting whatever he chooses to do. That should be very obvious by now to everybody because he’s said it a million times.

Im in TN and we apparently opened today. Most restaurants are staying open for takeout only still, despite being allowed to have dine in. These places will not be getting my families money. Nauseating virtue signaling on FB about "for the safety of our staff and customers". If you are really struggling stop being cucks and open up. 200 total cases in the large county of 400,000 here.

4
Block_Helen 4 points ago +4 / -0

Go GA! TX is open too!! So many restaurants in my part of Austin with cars in parking lots and dining rooms open for business! Great to see....I'm feeling so happy tonight. :)

2
Cyer6 2 points ago +2 / -0

Austin area looked pretty normal today. Cars all over the place and people going here and there.

2
Block_Helen 2 points ago +2 / -0

Sure did.

4
tinkesquire 4 points ago +4 / -0

I hope even if there a few spikes in case Kemp holds his course. The left will scream shut it down again real fast if even 100 new cases more then before the reopening happens.
