Folks there's been a LOT of Boog talk lately and a comment from another Pede on another thread festered a thought in me.
Americans have a metric fuck ton of weapons but most have NO knowledge of tactics et al.
If, God forbid, the Boog comes, most of us will need COMPETENT LEADERSHIP in order to minimize the unnecessary loss of Patriots.
Patriots will organize and private citizens will become leaders of warriors.
As in nearly every war ever fought some NCOs and General Officers are better than others.
Just because they are a veteran in no way guarantees a competent leader in the field.
Pray your NCO figure knows his shit or you will die an inglorious death for the bright idea of some prima dona dickhead that will waste human lives on worthless objectives.
Without competent leadership the Boog will be a bloodbath to Patriots untill we are organized and well led. Militarily.
If you are a vet with real battle instincts start talking to your friends about tactics. Teach them what ever the modem equivalent of shoot n scoot. Get them thinking tactically and logistically.
Everyone else do some reading to familiarize yourself with what modern Booging is all about.
This is vital information in case of Boog.
Boog is always a mystical and magic idea in many a young Pede's mind until the first shots pop off then the HORRORS of Boog become reality.
I've read diarys from young warriors from Boogs spanning centuries and it's always the same inner dialogue.
Boog is literally buying time or real estate with human lives and limbs and the romantic notions of glory soon give way to the less noble instincts of survival.
Boog is Hell.
Pray for Peace but Prepare for Boog!
The boog would be a struggle between the people and Oligarchy with a very limited number of loyalist forces.
I don't see a civil war scenario.
Don't discount how many po pos will go right along with the program. Especially in the big urban population centers.
There will be rifts within the military too. There are leftys in uniform too and many more than most of us would like to admit.
It may not be pitched battles with grand maneuvers like in the Civil War but just like in the Civil War the south, although wrong about slavery, were fighting for what they believed to be their rights.
Of course it was mostly about cotton money but the rhetoric spouted by the CSA was all nationalism and pride and you know the thing. MANY people took THAT aspect to heart and thought that was what they were fighting for.
If it comes there will be objectives to be won by Patriot Pedes against the Oligarchy. There will be infrastructure to take out. There will be arms to liberate from "Loyalist" NG armories.
The knowledge of how to make Boog is still important for Pedes to know.
I know how to make fire but I hope I never have to live life without my Zippo or Bic.
I know how to hunt but I hope I never have to live without the Winn Dixie meat counter.
I want to know how to Boog if for no other reason than to educate myself and best case scenario to prolong my life if I am ever called upon to defend all that I hold dear.
I have a wide knowledge of the history of warfare and have led teams for decades in the public sector but I probably wouldn't pass muster as a Field Officer. Maybe a decent NCO (for an old bastard) but no brass for my ass.
