Just out of curiosity (not trying to debate you): Are you opposed to LASIK surgery, cochlear implants, pacemakers or other surgery modifications that treat, help or modify the body in some way to just improve the quality of life, birth defects and/or an injuries?
Generally yes you should avoid those if possible. However, with those sorts of things it isn't messing with your genome or your brain so in my view it is acceptable if necessary. Opening up your mind or your body for unnecessary enhancements isn't how i want to live life nor do i believe it is what God wants.
We are not here forever, we are a people cursed with sin we aren't supposed to be messing around with God's vessels to increase our lifespan etc. Eartth and these bodies are not permanent.
I'm against technology in general and i wish we would all live like the Amish if it where possible to do that.
