Thank you for your input, Nostradamus. What else will happen in the future.

18

He said if. What will happen? Probably nothing.

13
rooftoptendie 13 points ago +22 / -9

Not really, we have a docile population that won't do anything, not even at the ballot box.

Wheres the "if" on that one.

You think only Nostradamus could predict things will happen the same way they have the last few hundred times?

The doomsday mentality is exactly how America got into this mess. A lot of people seem to think that talking about something is more important than doing something.
That is why the silent majority put Trump into office. We are tired of arguing with leftists who will never learn. If their leg was on fire and President Trump pointed it out, they would let it burn, rather than acknowledge it.

Turn it Red. I think the Dems have screwed themselves so bad. They have exposed their agenda to the average TAX payer, who are usually at work!! Now they are all at home, with their children, out of work watching their world crumble under the new normal. Hahahahaha

5
christianknight 5 points ago +5 / -0

Texas is doing it too. They are red. Get the picture?

5
BoughtByBloomberg 5 points ago +5 / -0

They appear red. Don't think this is state, think this is local PD going nuts. Mainly Houston and other infected areas.

6
Bullet_Tooth_Tony 6 points ago +6 / -0

Exactly. At first this seemed Iike the governors of the blue states ordeal. Which it is to a certain extent, but the local and county levels are pulling most of this shit. I am in Illinois with fat fuck Pritzker. He just "extended lockdown" until the end of May. A lot of the counties south of the greater Chicago area are telling him to fuck off now. The states attorneys are blocking the extension and having people get back to work.

1
NormaJeanRocks 1 point ago +1 / -0

Illinois too. How is the new mask enforcement going in your area? My dad near Springfield said almost all businesses were telling people they cant come in without one, I Haven't even been to a store since it went into effect, not sure. I'm central IL.

1
Bullet_Tooth_Tony 1 point ago +1 / -0

You are right by me probably. I am Peoria County. My wife has been hitting the stores without a mask. We ordered carry out last night and they told us just to come in and pick it up. Once the bars and restaurants start to open on the 15th, I think the whole mask thing will be out the door just about.

Mr_Dr_Jullian_Dunbar 1 point ago +1 / -0

Lived in Texas most of my life.

It's not and has never been "red", it's old school southern democrat with some fiscal conservative veneer tacked on.

Lists of former governors are mostly all democrats.

"Conservative Christians" voted Ann Richards (lets kill as many babies as possible), Bush, and Perry.

Perry had been a life long swamp democrat and switched parties because of the Bush dynasty. He was even on record saying he'll still vote like a D regardless of his newly switched republican title. On record for it but "conservatives" kept voting for him and constantly kept shitting on solid Liberty canidates for years.

Abbot isn't doing shit about the rampant fraud that takes place in sanctuary cities.

Not sure why pedes think Texas as "red", when you look at the facts.

We have the second highest property taxes in the country and allow drag queen story hour in schools and libraries (two in Houston where convicted pedophiles)

Texas is only slightly better than Cali.

3
SemperFree 3 points ago +3 / -0

Many of the sheep are at home glued to CNN. To them, this lock down make sense and keeps them safe.

8
Erikabodereka 8 points ago +8 / -0

'I'll go to jail to prove what they're doing is unconstitutional': Texas hair salon owner who defied lockdown orders to open her shop is hit with multiple restraining orders - but she refuses to shut down

That doesn’t sound too docile to me.

2
RenaissanceOfHope 2 points ago +2 / -0

5
christianknight 5 points ago +6 / -1

Its texas. Big mouthed retards and nothing to back it up. Tradcon laws everywhere and state income taxes.

Texas is a joke. Wyoming is more based. If Texas had any balls they would secede. But they wont.

1
Mr_Dr_Jullian_Dunbar 1 point ago +1 / -0

Can confirm, Texas is pretty much old school democrat state.

We're leaving here for good.

Property taxes are through the roof, and public schools are trash here.

They literally have drag queen story hour with convicted paedophiles - and Not only in Austin. Shit happened in Houston and Dallas.

Folks from Dallas (spare a few) have been more stuck up and full of themselves than people I've know in Los Angeles and NYC.

I'd take a LA liberals frienship than a Dallas "conservative" any day. At least you know what you're getting.

1
RenaissanceOfHope 1 point ago +1 / -0

What states DON’T have tradcon laws?

2
christianknight 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't know, maybe Wyoming or New Hampshire. But at least they don't brag all day. They talk and have everyone thinking the state is the most based in the country and it really isnt.

If they had any balls they would have seceded already. The state has its own power grid, they have the means to do it. Instead the sit around boasting as the leftist city hives grow. By the time they consider it, the blue hives will be able to outvote them like in Virginia.

1
RenaissanceOfHope 1 point ago +1 / -0

Hmm... I wonder what living in New Hampshire is like & if the girls are cute!

5
y_do_i_need_to_hide 5 points ago +5 / -0

2
RenaissanceOfHope 2 points ago +3 / -1

Oh. How much personal freedom do you have in Texas & how Bible Belt-y is it?

1
y_do_i_need_to_hide 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm from Michigan pointing out that this is what fake news does almost every time there's an issue.

As far as personal freedom, that is a personal opinion. My Governor says I can't do anything, but I'm doing it loudly and taunting her to do something about it. I advise more in Texas do the same.👍

2
Mr_Dr_Jullian_Dunbar 2 points ago +3 / -1

Read my comment above about Texas.

2nd highest property taxes in the country, cant by certain things like booze on Sundays or after certain hours, takes weeks to buy firearms, and the governorship is cucked.

The cities pull all kinds of fraud and bullshit with rampant sanctuary cities in ALL of Texas' major cities.

Small towns are pretty based but the whole muh Texas is conservative is like saying the Bushes where conservatives.

The loooong list of governors have mostly all been democrat and the "conservative Christians" always shat on the solid electable Liberty canidates for years constantly voting for baby killer Ann Richards to war mongers and drug trafficker IE Bush and Perry.

1
RenaissanceOfHope 1 point ago +1 / -0

So why did the evangelicals vote for Ann Richards?

2
Mr_Dr_Jullian_Dunbar 2 points ago +2 / -0

Williams was no better and it was a tight race.

Williams went on to fundraise for the McCain campaign - typical Texas Republican... Ron Paul was the only real Liberty canidate elected in this State out of thousands of fakes and scammers that ran and held various offices.

I'd say Texas thinks its conservative but when you're locking up people for cutting hair and CONSTANTLY voting for Rinos, Dems, and or full on leftist candidates it gets real long in the tooth.

West Texas and small towns are fairly based, but again mostly vote RINOs and politician oil types.

Speed traps, zero tolerance policies when it comes to refusal (they will draw blood on your ass - forcibly), draconian canabis laws (only ONE company can eve think about making CBD). I costs millions to even get into it and you have to pay off the agricultural commisars.

Folks need to get real or Texas might go full commie and wonder wtf happend.

no government should have the power to close businesses for a virus. State Governors need a serious curtailing of their powers

113
Hans_MacGruber 113 points ago +113 / -0

They don’t. Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments of the Constitution both contain due process clauses, which prohibit government from depriving one of life, liberty, or property without due process. I’m gonna go ahead and take a guess that Mr. Savage didn’t get any kind of hearing before they took his license away. I hope there are some Maine lawyers who are paying attention and willing to file an injunction or two against the state.

23
VetforTrump 23 points ago +23 / -0

12
EggOfDelusion 12 points ago +13 / -1

10
Hans_MacGruber 10 points ago +10 / -0

Maine law may depend on a right-vs.-privilege distinction (which would dictate what kinds of licenses can be revoked without notice and a hearing), but (occupational) licenses have long been considered by courts as “property” for due process purposes.

4

This is why I think every business owner who has lost their business because the state forced them to close and every employee who lost their job needs to file a class action lawsuit against the state they live in. There needs to be legal precedent set here.

They aren't legislators, no-one ever elected them, they don't have term limits, they aren't bound by FOIAs, they aren't accountable in any way... but have had authority delegated to them to act as legislators. Just because they exchanged a nice suitcase of cash one time at a private dinner.

Crime by any other label is still crime, fuck these people. Pull the plug on whatever legislative loophole that allows governors and mayors to invite bums and thieves into their office to do part of their job for them.

7
christianknight 7 points ago +7 / -0

Your employer.

1
jomten 1 point ago +1 / -0

You can tell your employer to adjust your withholding. My friend who works in insurance will adjust his to 0 when he knows hes getting a bonus so that he gets the full amount. It will make your return at the end of the year smaller if you get one, or you will owe more if you have to pay.

Im willing to do it, but I would wait for an organized movement. If its just a couple of people they will just arrest them and move on. If its a whole movement then we have leverage.

Business licenses are bull shit anyway, just like marriage licenses and gun licences. Where asking the government permission and then paying them to sell us back rights that are ours to start with.

Industries use government to protect themselves, like how Taxi companies fought Uber and Lyft in cities.

it's not about the free coffee. it's about the guy giving out the free coffee and all the other businesses live down the street from you, and surround you. in your own town. and in America everyone gets guns.

we are civilized because we choose to be. but everyone knows what lies underneath. you can't fuck over an entire town and then live there comfortably UNLESS the town's not paying attention at all. which kind of explains the last 30+ years. if you ask me.

now we're all paying attention. are governors getting away with things? are police? a lot less than they used to, that's for sure. I wish things would move a little faster but that's humanity for you, we're like molasses.

we're animals. proximity matters to us. we have ingrained behaviors.

Commies draft cooks and buisness owners into Army of freedom fighters. People with Nothing left to lose are difficult to control... The harder they crackdown the more we WIN...

He should keep his restaurant open without the license. It has been shown that the government there is ILLEGITIMATE!

Governor Janet Mills is a Nazi. You don't quarantine the healthy. It's time for the great citizens of Maine to revoke her as governor. This crap pisses me off.

Run it as a private club. 1$ off the bill goes for membership.
